I first came across the Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom range when I was in Shanghai – it was totally new at the time and, after trying it in store briefly, I was pretty keen to try it out myself. However, the exchange rate meant that it cost an exorbitant amount more than it should have so I have waiting for it to come to Australia.

And yes, finally it’s here! Innisfree Australia launched the Cherry Blossom Collection a few weeks ago and I was invited to the pop-event event too. I had a great morning with all of the creative little features that the team set up (and you can find my post about it on Instagram too), but the best thing that came out of that was that they actually gifted me two of the products from this line – and they’re exactly the two that I wanted to get!

I received the Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone-Up Cream and the Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream, which are really the heroes of this release. Both of them are available with Innisfree Australia for AUD$36 each either online or at one of their brick-and-mortar stores.

Review: Glow Tonic Collection (Pixi Beauty)

Is there anyone out there who hasn’t heard of Pixi Beauty? They are a brand started by make up artist and product developer Petra Strand and was launched over 20 years ago – so they know what they’re doing! They aim to create “innovative formulations that are infused with botanicals and beneficial ingredients,” as well as products that are multitasking and effective for people who are on-the-go and live a busy lifestyle.

They focus primarily on skincare (though do have some brilliant make up products too) and are especially known for formulations that create a beautiful, glowing radiance to skin – most famously their Glow Tonic! Recently they developed a full collection of products inspired by this favourite product, and I was ridiculously excited and lucky to get this whole range to share for you guys!

Review: Good Morning Cream (The Vegan Glow)

Vegan and cruelty free beauty has been a massive movement in the western beauty industry but – to be honest – we are still a fair while away in the k-beauty world. Aside from animal testing still being legally required in some countries (i.e. China, who is a massive market for Asian beauty) there are also a lot of famous and more traditional ingredients that are animal derived. It’s difficult to change an industry that has built itself on that knowledge and expertise so, to be honest, I feel like it will be a long time yet for k-beauty to be dedicatedly cruelty free.

However, there have been a number of new indie k-beauty brands that have really dedicated themselves to leading this movement – and they have been exceptionally great! One brand that I recently had the chance to test out is The Vegan Glow! They are 100% vegan and cruelty free, as well as being strictly formulated with EWG green products to ensure safe formulations that are suitable for even sensitive skin types.

For this review, I had the opportunity to test out their Good Morning Cream and I have to say that I am very happy with this product! It does everything that I need it to do and also works amazingly underneath make up too (which is my number one concern when it comes to my morning routine). If you haven’t heard of Hanyul before, then I need you to drop everything because I recently tried out my first product from the brand and I am actually in love. Yes – in love. I’ve been raving about this for quite a while on Instagram and I’m not sure if people understand how much I enjoy this product, so I knew that I had to write this review to talk about.

I received the Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Gel from BONIIK to try out but, actually, it was one that I chose myself after a skin consultation and testing out a bunch of different products. I told them about my combination skin that liked to get oily during the afternoon, and also about how rushed I am for time in the morning. They recommended for me to try out a more lightweight gel-type moisturiser and, after testing out a lot of products, this is the one that I was really keen to take home!

Review: Cellus Skincare Range (Lagom)

When BB Cosmetic approached me to collaborate again, I asked them about any new brands that they might be bringing in and wanting me to try out. They were quick to recommend Lagom, which is actually a very new name to me – in fact, I hadn’t even heard about them before this. They are a relatively new addition to the BB Cosmetic offerings and, from what I can see, are an indie kbeauty brand that focuses a lot on whitening/brightening skincare products – which are totally down my alley.

The brand was launched by Kowon, a very experienced celebrity make up artist from Korea. Although her expertise is in cosmetics, her work in the industry made her realise that the most important thing is to have healthy, hydrated and radiant skin. She worked together with a team of scientists to formulate this brand. All of Lagom products are formulated with their hero ingredient, DermaFlux, which is clinically proven to delivery hydration deep into the skin cells (rather than just the outmost skin barrier).

For me to test out of some their range, BB Cosmetic was generous enough to send through a selection of products (which I felt would work best in my routine) for me to try out and I have to say that I’ve been loving these products! They’re effective but simple to use, and I have essentially replaced a chunk of my routine with Lagom. My skin is absolutely loving it, so let me talk to you about all of these products!

In this review, I’ll be talking about the Cellus Mist Toner, Cellus Mild Moisture Cream and the Cellus White Moisture Cream. I’ve been using all three of these products daily so I’ll go in depth into the product, my experiences and my personal recommendations for when I work this into your routine.
