Review: Pink Nail Treatment Pack (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

This is (for now) the last in my series of Koelf masks so, first off, I want to thank RoseRoseShop for sending all of these over for me to test. Previous to this, I’ve never actually used anything from Koelf before. Their products definitely have their pro and cons, but it’s great to see them for myself!

Recently, I’ve tested heel patches (on my mother), elbow patches (on myself) and cleaners and creams from their sister brand Petitfee. To finish us off, I’m going to go back to the Koelf brand with their pink nail treatment pack. I expect this to be very similar to the previous hydrogel packs, though I don’t think I’ve used anything similar for my nails before.

Before using this, I thought that my nails were in a pretty good condition but – let me tell you – you have no idea how dry they are until after they are hydrated! Lets give this a shot. On with the review!

Review: D-Off Phyto Foam Cleanser (Petitfee)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

This was a strange product to me and, honestly, I didn’t expect that it’d be strange because… it’s a foam cleanser. I really didn’t expect anything all that different but let me tell you that this one definitely baffled me for a while. This product is from Petitfee and is called the D-Off Phyto Foam Cleanser (which, to me, sort of sounds like it’s swearing but it means dust off), a cleanser made of natural mint leaf and seven herbal ingredients – the foaming aspect is also meant to be fermented nutrient rice foam. It’s purpose is to penetrate pores, cleanse and moisturise.

To be honest, the overall description of this product was quite confusing to me. Perhaps it’s because I don’t approach natural products in such a in depth manner usually, but I still went into testing this product with an open mind! When I basically took from the description is that the foam cleanser uses natural ingredients in order to both cleanse and hydrate your skin – sounds pretty good to me.

I was sent this to review by RoseRoseShop, where you can get a bottle for $4.16 USD (full price is $11.71). It’s a good price for a good sized bottle so, provided that it works, I think it’ll be great for those more conscious about the ingredients in the products they’re using. Read on for my full review!

Review: Heating Gel Pore Brush (Tosowoong)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Tosowoong Heating Gel Pore Brush

Just to clarify, I had really high hopes for this product so even though I say that I’m kind of disappointed, it isn’t because it’s a terrible product. It works, just not how I wanted it to.

I had never used anything from Tosowoong before but had heard really great things about the brand so, when I came across this on My Korean Makeup, I decided that I had to try it. The product is a pore cleanser with a gel product and an attached brush, making usage fast and simple. I had actually searched it up online as well and hadn’t found any other reviews for it, so I was hoping that I would discover a new, wonderful product for you guys to use but… unfortunately, not.

Read on for my experience and thoughts about this Tosowoong product. I received this product to review from My Korean Makeup and you can check out their website to purchase this (or anything else).

Review: BCDation Plus (Tonymoly)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Tonymoly BCDation

Hi everyone! I really wanted to get one last review out before I head off to Seoul tomorrow morning, so I thought that this would be a good post to go with. It’s also very possible that I’ll write up some stuff before boarding my plane (as I’m wanting to schedule a few posts to go in between my travel posts too) so don’t think I’ll be silent for the next nineteen days! In fact, I’ll be extra talkative.

I proved myself wrong!

Hi all; it looks like I’m finally back from my Korea trip with a lot of photos and videos to share, new products to review and some others that I’ve been testing and need to catch up on. Without further ado, let’s roll right back into it with a new review!

This is Tonymoly’s BCDation Plus, a liquid base make up that combines BB/CC Cream with Foundation. This isn’t the first that I’ve heard of this formula, as I think Clio do something similar as well, but I was wanting to try this because my favourite Youtuber SINNIM has said some good things about this product. I was tossing between the cushion and the liquid version, but I chose to go with this bottle simply because I have been using a lot more cushions lately (when, funnily enough, I usually prefer bottled BB creams) and this one contains a lot more product than the standard cushion. It’s been said that there is little to no different between the two though.

I received this product to review from My Korean Makeup and you can check out their website to purchase this (or anything else).

Review: Callus Care Elbow Patch (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare

I’m back with another review (of course), and this time it’s another Koelf hydropatch – for your elbows. For a lot of us, we pay so much attention to moisturising our faces, legs and necks (especially our necks, okay) and more difficult to see spots tend to be neglected. Dry elbows don’t look very nice and nor do they feel great. Cracked skin can make sure a pretty painful experience, especially in an area that moves and rubs against other surfaces so often.

I have to admit that my own elbows are pretty neglected. They have been dry to the point of hurting before, which isn’t something to be that proud about. For that reason, I was looking forward to trying this out. I wanted something that could give my elbows a quick hydration that lasted even after the product wore off. It was also important for it to be easy to use and not affect my movement, as I do a lot of work at home.

If you’ve read my previous Koelf review, you will know that I also tested their heel patch. For this one, I’ll be using my own body instead of my mum’s (but thanks for helping me apply it, mum!) and giving you my thoughts on it. Like the previous, this product was also sent to me for review by RoseRoseShop so don’t forget to check them out too!

Review: Heartful Moisture Lipstick (Holika Holika)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick

Did anyone else used to dot their i’s and j’s love hearts? I don’t know what it is about people that are so obsessed with love and little hearts – they’re cute, yes, but I guess this is just an example of how ingrained a childhood of fairytales and princesses in towers can be. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with living in our fantasy lands, as I’m still extremely attached to my Disney stories as well, and there is a subtle way we can keep instilling that youthful dreaminess in our lives.

Today, let’s look at the loveliest lipstick I’ve ever seen! This is the Heartful Moisture Lipstick with the cute, witchy kbeauty brand Holika Holika. This product caught my eye right away with it’s cute packaging and design, so let’s take a closer look at this.

This was kindly sent to me for review by My Korean Makeup. I chose all of the products that I wanted to review and I am giving my 100% honest thoughts about the product. For my thoughts on their service and online store, check out my previous review.

Review: Snow Lotus White Tone Up Cream (Petitfee)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

Hi everyone! Double post for today because these have been sitting in my drafts for the longest time and I’ve tested it for plenty long enough to give my thoughts. This product is the Snow Lotus White Tone Up Cream by Petitfee, a Korean brand that exists in partnership (or under) Koelf. This is meant to give an instant brightening effect though I’m not entirely sure of whether it is meant to have long-term melanin reduction effects like the other whitening cream that I use (Cloud9). This product is designed to be used anywhere on the body and is meant to be applied as the last step of your skincare regime.

I received this product to try out by RoseRoseShop and I was really interested to try out another whitening cream. For the past year or so, I have been using Cloud9 almost exclusively and, although it is proven to be effective, the main issue I have with it is that it’s quite drying on the skin – which is quite common for whitening products, but worse when it contains pigmentation (how the instant brightening happens). I’m hoping that this product is different in that sense.

Review: Callus Care Heel Patch (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare

I’m back with another review and, instead of focusing on our faces, let’s stop to think about our feet! We stand and walk on them all day, force them into pretty (very probably painful) shoes, so it’s only natural that they deserve a bit of pampering as well. We have moisturisers, gels and peeling masks – which I personally only use once every few months but really enjoy playing with – but here’s a hydrating patch by Koelf.

This product is a lot faster than peeling masks and specifically targets one part of the foot (the heel) though can obviously be used on other parts of the feet if needed. You basically apply it to your heel and then put on your socks (this step is optional, but recommended if you don’t want to slip and slide around). It says to keep it on for a minimum of an hour, but I don’t think there is a maximum time you can have it on. It really just depends on your comfort and time allowance.

I was sent a pack of these to test by the awesome people at RoseRoseShop and each pack as six sheets (or three pairs). They’re really cheap actually and on sale for $3.36 each – not a bad price, really. Because I personally have pretty decent feet, in that they don’t really get dry or crack, I asked my mother to test these for me instead and we observed the use and effectiveness together.

Interested? Let’s go!

Review: Magic Cushion Moisture (Missha)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Missha Magic Cushion Moisture

I’m back again with another cushion review! I seem to be doing so many of them lately that my cushion collection has been seriously building. I have no complaints though because base make up is such an important part of your make up routine and, personally, I think the key to perfect make up is to find the perfect base. However, it’s important to note that these products are often subjective and really dependent on your personal preferences. For me, I love dewy finishes, blendability and a medium coverage – full coverage is a bit too heavy for me, as my skin is pretty decent on most days.

One of the first BB creams that I used is actually from Missha! We didn’t have many asian beauty stores in Sydney those few years ago and my choices were limited between Tonymoly, The Face Shop and Missha. Missha had won me over with their Perfect Cover product and, since then, I’ve always really liked their products. I’ve heard that they were fairly late on the cushion compact game but, after seeing this one, I couldn’t help wanting to test it out.

This product was sent to me for review my My Korean Makeup! They have great service and free shipping too, so don’t hesitate to check them out if you want to get the Missa M Magic Cushion Moisture (which is super affordable at USD$9.90) or if you want to check out the rest of their products.

And with that, it’s on with the review!

Review: Rose Essence Multi Finish (Skinfood)

Skinfood Rose Essence Multi Finish KollectionK Kbeauty Review

Skinfood is a Korean roadshop brand that is really well known for their skincare products – black sugar, avocado and probably potato; they have used it all. Their black sugar scrub is one of their cult items and is definitely one of my staples. Lesser known, however, is their cosmetics line. From what I hear, these products are sometimes a bit of a hit-or-miss since it isn’t their speciality.

Today, I’m going to be reviewing the Rose Essence Multi Finish, which is a super pretty 3-in-1 product (highlighting, blush, eyeshadow). This was sent to me for review by KollectionK, so please remember to check out their store afterwards. They have a great range as well as a newly launched shopping service!

For this product, I was initially really taken away by how beautiful the packaging is but, unfortunately, I’m a little disappointed by the sheer pigmentation. It seems like colour products really aren’t their strong point, though there are some purposes that suit this product better than others.

Read on to find out!
