I am officially addicted to wearing coloured circle lenses and, honestly, can’t imagine how I’ve gone without them for so long! I love that they give you overall look a nice pop and I think that they really tie an outfit together. Subtle circle lenses are good for more casual or formal events, while striking and eye-catching colours and designs are perfect for fun days out or parties.
In lenses, I usually pay particular attention to the comfort, vibrancy of the colour (how it turns out on my super dark eyes), how well they blend into my natural colour and what sort of make up I think it suits best. For my review for theses pretty, green lenses from Klenspop, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and show how I would wear these paired with a brighter, eye-catching make up look!

A super exhausting few days means that updates and new posts have been slightly delayed on my end, so I have to apologize for that! However, I am back and here with another review of a product I’ve been meaning to try for quite a while – Lioele’s Dollish Veil Vita BB. I’ve had this product recommended to me a few times and I thought that the colour correction/changing function was quite unique. However, I’ve never actually used anything from Lioele before so I was interested to see how this would perform.
I think that, since this product, they have also released a new, similar (?) CC cream version (correct me if I’m wrong). This product was sent to me for review by Beautynetkorea so if you’ve like to get your hands on this, or search for the new products to test, just click on their name!
And now, moving on, let’s look at these BB creams! I received both colours for this – green and purple. Presumably, the green can be used to counter redness while the purple would even and brighten your overall skin tone. I often use a colour correcting base under my make up, though the actual colour often varies. I don’t have too much redness, but am prone to some uneven skin tone and yellow/sallow skin (thanks to sleepless nights).
This BB cream is meant to adapt to your skin colour, which would be good for those who have difficulty finding good matches. However, being approximately a #21 (or #23 darkest) myself, I am a little hesitant to say this will work for darker skin tones without making your base too ashy.

To be honest, I had sincerely thought that this post was already made! Only, I just realised that the photos were sitting in my drafts and I’ve been testing these products and thinking up the review before even doing the haul post. Aren’t I silly? Anyway, today is just one of those days – it’s rainy here in Sydney, work is rather slow and not very much is happening. As a pick me up, I figured that it would be best to do this post and look at all these lovely things that KollectionK had sent me to review! Most of these are actually things that I chose myself so I’ll talk about why I was interested in them too.
If you’re interested in checking out KollectionK, click the link above. Although their prices are a little higher than the other stores I’ve visited, they also have one of the best designed and most user friendly stores that I have seen for kbeauty.
While I was shopping on their site, I liked to go through everything and make a wish list, which I would then go through again. If there are some items on your wishlist that are out of stock, then don’t worry about that either! KollectionK restocks very often and will even send you an email to let you know. Overall, I really love their website and think their service is good too!
Let’s move onto what I recieved!
I am obsessed with Disney – I think that is a fact that everyone should be aware of. Whenever there is a Disney collaboration, my head pokes in in interest… which is exactly what happened here. Looking at the different products on Alphabeauty’s website, I was drawn towards all of the Alice in Wonderland collaborations that seemed to be happening over in Japan. K-Palette’s 1 Day Tattoo came recommended to me by Sophia, so I was pretty excited to test that out.
I am generally very loyal to my Clio Kill Black, which is the first and most effective liquid liner that I’ve learnt to use on a daily basis. Aside from that, I’m very much a gel liner type of girl because I like to have as much control over my liner as possible and a very deep black. This one, however, comes really close to the Clio!
If you’re interested in checking this out, go to Alphabeauty’s website. Otherwise, let’s go!
Everyone has been obsessed with double cleansing and, admittedly, I’m pretty late on the bandwagon but I’m here now! Today, I’ll be reviewing a product that was very kindly sent me to be Beautynetkorea, who were the ones who actually suggested this to me. This is the O-Le-Mong sherbet cleanser by Etude House, which is scented with three different fruits – orange, lemon and grapefruit! The packaging is pretty cute, in my opinion, though the bright yellow a little different from Etude House’ usual.
The first time that this product was sent to me, the product had unfortunately leaked and ruined the beauty of the packaging, s oBeautynetkorea were sweet enough to send me another one (and even extra bubble wrapped it to make sure it wouldn’t happen again). If you’re interested in checking out this product – or all the other things they carry – click on the links. Otherwise, onto the review!
As Kbeauty fans, I think that it’s very (very) easy for us to accidentally neglect all of the other products that are out there for us – even those that are still within the Asian beauty industry! The fact is that the Korean industry is huge, with many low-end, high-end, mainstream and even indie brands that are constantly putting out new products, developing new formulas and just really demanding our attention. However, some people might have noticed that I had paid a little attention recently to Japanese cosmetics and skincare. Admittedly, I don’t have much knowledge or experience in their industry (and could hardly name even ten brands) but I have heard some great things about them!
For this reason, I am so happy that I have been sent some pretty interesting things by Alpha Beauty to review! All of these brands are completely new to be and, while I had heard of their names before, I am definitely going in with zero subjectivity no preconcieved expectations.
I’ll be giving everyone a brief overview of the products that I have received (and have already started testing). If you are interested in Japanese cosmetics or skincare, check out Alpha Beauty!
Do you guys wear coloured contacts every day? I personally love the look of them – I like the widening effect, I like that I can choose to have a more eye-catching colour or choose to go more demure with something subtler. However, I really can’t wear them every day because I work weekdays in an office where I am staring at the computer all day. I also have a habit of falling sleep on public transport, so it isn’t exactly great for my eyes.
When I do go out though, I often wear coloured lenses. Recently, I received my first review package from Klenspop which had a really pretty pair of gray contacts (that really stand out). This time, I recieved another two pairs from them but I will be talking about one of the first – the BUNNY 3COLOR lenses in Blue! These had a subtle effect on my eyes which would be really suited for every day wear. Compared to the previous ELLEN lenses, I think these are more suited for daytime wear. They look more striking in direct, bright light (as you will see in the below images) but, from a distance, there is a subtle enhancement to my eyes. Please keep in mind that my natural eye colour is a very dark brown – we used to call it black in elementary school – so this may look brighter even on other brown eyes.

This post has actually taken me forever to write. A lot of posts the past two weeks have felt like they’re taking a really long time, but I guess that I’m just spending more time testing these products properly – as well as spending more time at the gym and really taking care of myself. Either way, I get so excited when ever I receive packages (whether it’s something I bought or samples I’ve been sent to review) that it’s like Christmas came early! Today, I’m going to be doing a bit of a haul post on the package that Beautynetkorea sent me, full of fun things to review and most (if not all) of which are completely new to me. Some of these they had chosen for me and others I had asked if they could send as I had been looking forward to trying them.
Overall, I had a good experience with Beautynetkorea and I think they have very helpful and fast customer service. The first package they had sent me was damaged in transit (one item was damaged in storage I think and other had leaked) so I contacted them immediately with photos. I was very surprised when they replied to me really quickly, within twelve hours even though the original email was sent in the middle of the night. They offered to resend the package, which they did, with a few new products.
I’ll talk more about this at the end of the review though. For now, here’s what I got!
Remember that super cute, ridiculous bottle of lotion that I reviewed before? The one that was sent to me by JapanSkin? Well, what I didn’t mention in that previous post (or perhaps I did and I had simply forgotten) is that it isn’t the only thing they had sent me! Also by the Japanese boutique brand Kamiya, I also received one of their hand creams and green tea blotting paper to test as well and I was very happy with them. Although the hand cream was nothing spectacular (and I’m not a frequent user of it anyway), I absolutely loved the blotting paper. It was very absorbent, smelled really good and the packaging was simply innovative. It’s very clear to see that Kamiya had experience with paper because they’re just very good at it!
If you’re interested in anything that I’ve shown here, or the Kamiya Silk Lotion that I reviewed earlier, then just go to JapanSkin. These are not affiliate links and, whilst I have been sent these products to review, I always give my honest opinion (even if they’re not completely positive)!
Please note that these products have been sent to me for review and the links are affiliate links. However, the review is purely my own honest opinions and are a reflection of the products, not the service.
Before this review, I had never heard of Skin18 before. I found them on Instagram though and noticed that they have a blogger program which focuses less on promoting their store and more about introducing and testing out new beauty products from lesser known brands. I thought this was a great opportunity so I was quickly on board. Soon enough, I had been sent the above pictures package of four different masks to review for you guys!
I took my time testing enough one, making sure to use them on days when my skin wasn’t doing so great (I wanted to see what differences the masks could make and, frankly, considering the weather, it isn’t so hard to catch me on a bad skin day) and making sure that I weren’t using them back to back. Some of these products I loved, some I wasn’t so sure about so – enough of me talking – let’s go!
