Review: White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream (KLAVUU)

Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I was really excited to try out the KLAVUU products that StyleKorean had sent over to me and, because I am still using up a bunch of other cleansers, I decided to start out with the White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream. This is a product that I originally mistook as a sunscreen, and then figured it was a tone-up cream and then realised that it is actually both. It is a product that can be used underneath make up or alone too.

Unfortunately, this is a product that didn’t suit my skin very well and made me break out – although this is likely to be different individual-to-individual. So, I’m going to be giving you some information on this product, as well as my personal experiences with using it.

This product is selling on the StyleKorean website for USD$34.24, which is relatively expensive – as many KLAVUU products are. There are definitely other tone up creams that are more affordable and have a more lightweight formula.

So, here’s the review!

Review: Moist Cushion (Huxley)

Huxley Secret of Sahara Moist Cushion Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

One of my favourite kbeauty brands at the moment has got to be Huxley – I was introduced to them not too long ago by the StyleKorean Beauty Guru Competition (where I got the opportunity to try out their sheet masks). Since then, I have used a few other skincare products from them and they have been exceptionally great for my skin. I’m also a really big fan of their signature scent, which is really fresh and light.

That all being said, I haven’t tried out any makeup from their brand (though I have a feeling that this is their first cosmetic product) so I was pretty eager to try out their Moist Cushion – which has been really kindly sent to me by StyleKorean to review. I haven’t been really into dewy finishes lately so, to be honest, I tried out this product thinking that I wouldn’t like it but it is surprisingly nice and works well for my skin type.

In addition, I really just live for this scent and I want to bathe my soul in it.

So, let’s get right into this review so I can tell you about one of the most fancy (but classy) cushion cases that I own.

Review: Real Ferment Micro Serum (Neogen)

Neogen Real Ferment Micro Serum Kbeauty Review

This product was provided to me by Neogen for my honest review. Affiliate links are not used in this post.

When I look into products for my skincare routine, I will generally be focusing on hydration and brightening properties – since they are my main skin concerns. I first came across this Real Ferment Micro Serum from Neogen on Instagram, and I was first interested because the packaging looked really sleek and compact. So, I was pretty excited when it showed up at my place in a PR package and I put it to the test that very evening.

From when I first started to use this, I saw immediate results and I’ve been using it once or twice a day since then (except for a few days break when I was having skin allergies from hayfever). This product feels great on my skin and gives me an instant boost of hydration, as well as helping to brighten and (gradually) diminish my acne scarring. The effects that I’ve seen from incorporating this into my skincare routine have been really good, so I’m keen to share this.

This product is selling on either the official Neogen website or their international stockist Sokoglam for USD$38 – on the pricier side, but worth it for the the effectiveness; especially considering that there are many more expensive products.

So, read on for my full detailed review on this!

Review: Gel Eyeliner Pencil (Esqido)

Esqido Gel Liner Review

These products were sent to me for review by Esqido. I was not paid for this post and no affiliate links are used.

I used to use gel liners almost exclusively, but it’s in the past couple of years that I had completely switched over to liquid pen liners – which I preferred for getting very crisp black lines. It has actually been quite a while since I used a gel so, when I received these Gel Eyeliner Pencils from Esqido, I knew that there would be a bit of  a learning curve for me. Still, I think that there will always be a place in my collection for gel liners as they can give you that deep, smokey look that is hard to achieve with liquids.

These are a new addition to Esqido’s offerings which, in the past, has been focused on their false lashes and companion glue. Bringing out these liners feels so natural though, because they’re perfect for the waterline for smoking out the lash, so this development didn’t surprise me at all!

I was sent these to review in both colours – black and brown – and they claim to be super budge proof and also waterproof; which I tested out very easily with my watery eyes. So, read on for my review because these have definitely impressed me and I think that I will be using these Gel Eyeliners more in the future.

Review: Killawatt Foil Duo (Fenty Beauty)

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Duo Mimosa Sunrise Sangria Sunset

One of my favourite brands in Western beauty at the moment is Fenty Beauty and I have been very vocal about my support for them since their launch. Since then, they have released a few different collections, all of which have been so beautiful (you can see my first impression of the Galaxy Collection on my channel) but I have been consciously trying to buy less make up so I didn’t splurge on the entire line like I did before.

For this release, which is a bit old news now because it was the summer collection, Fenty Beauty brought out some eyeshadow duos – called the Killawatt Foil Duo. They were released in three different shades and I picked up Mimosa Sunrise/Sangria Sunset which is a beautiful pink and orange duo that caught my eyes immediately. It’s been so long that I was planning on skipping this post but, with their new products launching soon, I figured that I might as well.

You’ll be glad to know that these duos are permanent in the collection and are selling for either USD$36 on the Fenty Beauty website or AUD$54 on the Sephora Australia website.

Anyway, so that’s my introduction to this post! I will be keeping this short or read on for my review!

Review: Back to Baby Mask – Nourishing Special (3CE)

3CE Back to Baby Mask Nourishing Special Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I had my eye on these sheet masks since they first came out, because I just love the packaging, but it’s taken me quite a while to actually get my hands on them. These are the 3CE Back to Baby Mask (in the Nourishing Special version), which come in a box set of three. They’re currently on sale at StyleKorean for USD$11.70, which is a great price because they usually sell for USD$19.50 which is pretty expensive but makes sense since this isn’t just a traditional sheet mask.

I’m a fan of the 3CE brand but, generally, have been more of a fan of their colour cosmetics – some of their base make up leaves a little to be desired, and they have only released limited skincare products. In addition to their white milk collection (which I liked the cream from but don’t really use anything else), they have now expanded on their Back to Baby line with these sheet masks!

I received these to review from StyleKorean and I was planning on waiting for a while longer, since I had some skin allergies last week, but I tried this mask on yesterday and my skin is feeling instantly better! So, click through to read my full review and if you want to check out the product, follow this link to the Baby to Baby Mask product page.

Review: Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder (Becca)

Becca Hydra Mist Set and Refresh Powder Beauty Review

The Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder is one of my current favourite powders and, even though it’s been quite a while since its release, I just really want to share my experiences with this product. It was released earlier in the year by BECCA, and it actually sparked a lot of curiosity over on YouTube because it had such an interesting formula – one that, to be honest, you have to touch in person to understand.

I bought this a Sephora in the States when it first launched, as it took a while to reach Australia, and I’ve been using it almost everyday since. I’ve been really into loose powders lately, as I feel like they help me to better mattify my skin, but a lot of them seem to be quite drying – which is good for my T-zone, as that has the tendency to get really oily in the afternoon, but can make the rest of my face feel like literal paper.

This Hydra-Mist Powder, however, is a saviour if you have trouble with that. For people with dry to combination skin, you’ll be wanting to check this out – it’s selling for AUD$58 in Sephora Australia, or any international readers can check out the official BECCA website which it is selling for USD$38 (and you can get 20% off by signing up to their newsletter too).

So, read on for this (probably short but detailed) review!

Spotlight: KLAVUU (StyleKorean)

Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

KLAVUU is one of those brands that I’ve been curious about (I was actually first introduced to them at the BONIIK event) but I haven’t tried anything from, mostly because their products can run a bit expensive (in relation to other Korean skincare). However, I’ve heard really good things about their brand especially in the areas of complexion brightening – which people will know is one of my main skin concerns. So when I saw on instagram that StyleKorean was recruiting people for a KLAVUU try me; review me – I applied right away!

I haven’t tried out all of these products yet, as I am currently recovering from a skin allergy from last week, so I thought I would instead write about these products to share the KLAVUU range before doing in-depth reviews later on. I don’t have everything from them (of course), but I was sent a selection of items to review – the Personal Care Aurora Pearl Eye Mask, Pure Pearlsation Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam, Pure Pearlsation Divine Pearl Cleansing Oil and the White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream.

So, if you want to know more about KLAVUU or if you’re curious about any of these products, read on!

Review: Soft Glam Palette (Anastasia Beverly Hills)

Anastasia Beverly Hills ABH Soft Glam Palette Beauty Review

I always highly recommend the Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, and the Soft Glam one is definitely the most wearable of the range. This is one that I picked up on a whim while I was in the States. I wasn’t originally intending on getting it, because I usually gravitate towards brighter and bolder eye make up, but the quality of these shadows is incredible and the colours really do look better in real life (though I hope these photos can do it some justice).

Since getting this, I find that I can using neutral shades more in my every day routine and I have discovered a newfound appreciation for this sort of colour palette. Of course, I still don’t feel like I (or anyone) needs multiple neutral toned palettes but if you are going to invest in one, then the Soft Glam is a great one to look into!

This retails for AUD$75 at Sephora Australia or USD$42 in America. For international readers, you can pick this up either at the official Anastasia Beverly Hills website, Cult Beauty or Beautylish.

And so, without further ado, let’s just right into my review of one of my favourite palettes.

Review: Flat Velvet and Glossy Lipstick (The Face Shop)

The Face Shop Flat Velvet and Glossy Lipstick Kbeauty Review Boniik

This product was gifted to me by The Face Shop for review purposes. I was not paid for this post and affiliate links are not used.

Quite a while ago, I was invited to a blogger event and they gifted me a whole range of products that I actually hauled on my YouTube and here. It’s taken be quite a while to try out and review everything, and as a matter of fact I haven’t even used all of the masks that they’ve gifted me, but I finally feel like I’m ready to write about this massive box!

This is the full collection of flat lipsticks that The Face Shop carries, in both the velvet and glossy variations. They were generous enough not only to gift us bloggers the full range, but also to create a special PR box to house it all in. It just looks so impressive to see all of the products laid out like that – I actually still have the book case even though I’ve (obviously) taken the lipsticks out to use. That being said, this box is only available for PR and they are actually sold individually, which is probably best as I can’t imagine why anyone would need the whole set (including myself).

For this review, I’m going to be discussing both of these product types as well as showing you lip swatches of all of the colours.

So, without all of this rambling from me, let’s get right into it!
