Review: Liquid Lip Color (3CE)

3CE Stylenanda Liquid Lip Color Review Be Dashed Lazy Low Down Charmed

I’m finally writing the review for these! To be honest, I’m not sure why it had taken me so long because I’ve been using these since I first got them (and formed an opinion quite quickly) but I guess that I’ve been putting it off while getting so stuck into my new colourpop lipsticks. Alas, I’ve finally decided to write this review now because I only have a week until I head off to Japan for three weeks and, after that, I’m expecting that I will have some Japanese products to review and more kbeauty products coming in the mail as well! Basically, it’s going to get busy on here, and I’m excited.

Moving on, this is my review on 3CE’s Liquid Lip Color. I picked up a few of these when I was in Korea split over two or three visits. I actually thought that I only had two of the colours but was surprised to find out that I bought four – this always happens to me. Either way, I was totally suckered in by the cute packaging and the super opaque colours. This was one of the first liquid lipsticks that I had used since this became a trend (I first used matte liquid lipsticks – on performances – when I was maybe thirteen) so I’ve since been comparing it to a few other formulas that I’ve tried.

Top 10 Makeup Products of 2016

Top 10 Makeup Products 2016 Review List

With the new year slowly approaching, it seems only appropriate to do a wrap up post! I’ll be (hoping) to do two of these, so first up is my Makeup post! In my first year of blogging, I realised that I like to test out make up products more than I do skincare – even though I am an absolute geek for a thorough and well considered skincare routine. Perhaps this is because I’m not a very patient person and I like something where I can see results right away. In addition, I do wear quite a bit of make up every day of the week for work, so finding the perfect products is really important to me. I am someone with rather temperamental skin conditions (sometimes very oily and sometimes ridiculously dry) and sensitive eyes, so I am quite strict sometimes on the products that I love and I don’t.

For this reason, I am sometimes a bit of a stickler for brand choices. My brand choices for this year have mainly centred about long-lasting power, high pigmentation and my beloved dewy finishes. Clio remains on top as one of my favourites, with 3CE being a very strong contender in some areas and LUNA being a surprising – but not that surprising – new obsession of mine.

If you’re interested in reading about my top choices (and yes, of course you are) then click on! These products are in no particular order but are all products that I loved and used continuously throughout the year.

Review: Dailism Serum Rogue (Heimish)

Heimish StyleKorean Review Kbeauty Dailism Serum Rogue

Everything that I have tried from Heimish so far has totally blown me away, so I’m pretty happy to finish off this series of reviews with two of their serum rogue lipsticks. Though their products aren’t cheap, they are far from expensive (and are actually pretty affordable), have excellent pigmentation and very pretty packaging – which is often a deal breaker for me.

Heimish as a brand has a modern and chic style, focusing on make up styles that are simple and easy to use for all. The attention is on the wearer (you), instead of the actual product. Their ‘No More Normal’ mantra is about makes you stand out – not them. In this sense, I think that Heimish has a very unique approach to make up and it definitely reflects in their range.

The following lipsticks were sent to me for review by StyleKorean. From memory, not many stores are stocking Heimish yet (as they are not a roadshop brand) so definitely check them out if you’re interested in any of this. You can also check out my previous review of their eyeshadow palette and waterdrop tint.

Review: Dailism Waterdrop Tint (Heimish)

Heimish StyleKorean Review Kbeauty Dailism Waterdrop Tint

I love this lip tint. I honestly don’t even know how else to begin this review except for that. I’ve been carrying it in my bag almost religiously so I’ve been using it almost every day – it’s pretty much replaced the old (and now scratched) lip tint that I have from The Face Shop. I brought this to Korea with me, as I did the eyeshadow palette, and I have this one to thank for saving me every time my lips went dry – which was often.

This one is also from Heimish’s Dailism collection and is called their waterdrop tint – most likely a reference to the droplet shaped applicator. It is a lip stain and, in accordance to the Heimish brand, is meant to be easy to use, wearable and also distinctive. The formula is a bit creamy (like a gel) and is said to contain rose hip seed oil extract – keep lips soft and hydrated too.

Read on for my review! This, along with the other Heimish pretties that I’ve been reviewing, have been sent to me for review by StyleKorean and is available for USD$11.77 (full price is USD$13.08) so remember to check them out!

Review: Heartful Moisture Lipstick (Holika Holika)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick

Did anyone else used to dot their i’s and j’s love hearts? I don’t know what it is about people that are so obsessed with love and little hearts – they’re cute, yes, but I guess this is just an example of how ingrained a childhood of fairytales and princesses in towers can be. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with living in our fantasy lands, as I’m still extremely attached to my Disney stories as well, and there is a subtle way we can keep instilling that youthful dreaminess in our lives.

Today, let’s look at the loveliest lipstick I’ve ever seen! This is the Heartful Moisture Lipstick with the cute, witchy kbeauty brand Holika Holika. This product caught my eye right away with it’s cute packaging and design, so let’s take a closer look at this.

This was kindly sent to me for review by My Korean Makeup. I chose all of the products that I wanted to review and I am giving my 100% honest thoughts about the product. For my thoughts on their service and online store, check out my previous review.

Review: Lip Powder (Rire)

Rire Lip Powder Tint Kbeauty Review

There was such a ruckus when this product went viral that I immediately bought all four colours intending to doing a review video. Well, the video has been in the making for a long time, to be honest, and I’ve had these photos edited and drafted for a while. I think the hype about this product has started to dye down – especially considering that other brands have now started with lip powders – but I thought I would write down my thoughts anyway.

This is going to a relatively short post, but hopefully the photos of these pretty things make up for it! Let’s get started:

Review: Kailijumei Lipstick

Kailijumei Flower Jelly Lip Tint Sticks Review Sweet Pinyupa

I’ve been wanting to try the Kailijumei lipstick since I first saw it go viral but these have been so difficult to buy because of popularity and exorbitant shipping fees. I’m happy to have been generously sent this (along with some other samples) to review by Australian seller Sweet Pinyupa Shop. She is very responsive to messages, so sweet and easy to converse with.

This lipstick comes from a Chinese brand that, honestly, kind of blew up out of the blue. This brand has no other products to their name, does not seem to have a professional website (their official store is a tictail page) and has no responded to any of my legitimate messages even though they urge people to contact them through instagram. They also warn a lot about possible fakes on the market, even though their own images seem to be low resolution and possibly just taken from the supplier’s site. I know that overall, this seems like I am bashing Kailijumei but I guess I am simply unimpressed by their business attitude and customer service.

However, that being said, I love this lipstick. It’s a great product, very pretty and I was really happy to find an Australian seller who is also selling the Kailijumei lipsticks. She had assured me that her stock is bought from the same suppler for Kailijumei (which, for those who are familiar with the Chinese wholesaler/factory industry) makes a lot of sense.

When it comes to customer services and reliability, I much preferred talking to Fern from Sweet Pinyupa over the actual company.

Now, with that done, onto the product!

Review: Water Tint Balm (Choonee)

BB Cosmetics Review Kbeauty Beauty Asian Korean Cosmetics Skincare Choonee Lip Tint Balm

Choonee is a brand that I hadn’t heard of before but, looking at their Instagram, it seems like their lip tint balms are pretty popular. I’ve been on a search for the past few weeks to find a lip balm that had the colour intensity and consistency of a lipstick. Although I am still searching, I can safely say that this water tint balm is the closest I have gotten to it (as of yet).

BB Cosmetic had sent all three colours over to me for review and I would like to thank them for introducing me to a new brand. You can check them out by clicking the link below and don’t forget to use my code to get 8% off: QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Review: Sugar Tint Balm (Etude House)

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Makeup Cosmetics Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop

I have been on a hunt lately for a dense, pigmented lip balm. As I mentioned in my haul video (and as I seem to mention all the time lately), my skin has been extremely dry from the weather and my lips are no different. Chapped lips don’t look very nice and are hard to apply lip colour on but, worst of all, they seriously hurt! Cracking lips and dry skin are the bane of my existence in this strange Australian weather.

When I first saw the Sugar Tint Balm on RoseRoseShop, I knew that I had to try them. The real difficulty though, was choosing which ones. This product comes in a range of eight colours, four of which are available on the website (at the time of writing) so I ended up going with two – a darker, berry pink (#07 Grape Jam) and a light peach shade (#05 Pink Macaroon).

Review: Rosy Tint Lips (Etude House)

Etude House Rosy Tint Lips Review by Stella at Oh My Stellar K Beauty Kbeauty Blog

When I made my last massive purchase at RoseRoseShop (haul video to come soon) I couldn’t stop myself from picking up Rosy Tint Lips from Etude House’s &Rose Collection. I use quite a few different Etude House products, partly because I’m an absolute sucker for their pink princess paradise style packaging and that they’re very affordable, which makes it easy for me to try new things without the guilty smack to my wallet.

These lip tints looked so cute and I loved the creamy texture that was promised from the product photos. As I had trouble picking what colours I wanted (which happens all the time – Sophia realised that it’s reflected in the way that I shop. I can never choose between colours so I just grab everything and decide later on, which I think is a bit like sweeping the issue under the rug), I got three!
