Review: Jellypot (Moonshot)

Moonshot Jellypot Eyeshadow Review

It honestly kills me that it’s so difficult to get Moonshot products outside of Korea. Ever since the brand’s launch in Korea, I had been eying their products is absolute envy and the main thing that I’d wanted to get my hands on were the jellypots! I saw a photo of Lee Sung Kyung wearing the purple shade and, from that moment on, it was an epic journey to get my hands on them.

Luckily for me though, I have a great friend who puts up with these sometimes ridiculous obsessions with me so, me and Sophia got ourselves quite lost in Apgujeong when we went looking for their flagship store. Eventually though (and braving that little bit of rain) we found it and I felt like I was in heaven. I love the pigmentations of their products, I love the quality, service and… as a kpop fan, the blasting of Big Bang’s MADE album definitely made the experience. Sorry.

Anyway! So at Moonshoot, I was assisted by one of their great make up artists who helped me test out the products and showed me different applications as well as recommending products and colours that suited my skin tone. For the jelly pots, I ended up going with that purple that I was addicted to, a metallic black which I don’t use much of but liked to use for a night-time look, as well as a rose-gold like colour. The last one I actually received for free as a gift (I bought so much, I can’t even) and was recommended to me by the artist who said that it is one of their most popular shades – as well as a ‘Dara’s recommendation’ – and where Sandara goes, I follow.

Well, let’s get right into this review!

Review: Pink Nail Treatment Pack (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

This is (for now) the last in my series of Koelf masks so, first off, I want to thank RoseRoseShop for sending all of these over for me to test. Previous to this, I’ve never actually used anything from Koelf before. Their products definitely have their pro and cons, but it’s great to see them for myself!

Recently, I’ve tested heel patches (on my mother), elbow patches (on myself) and cleaners and creams from their sister brand Petitfee. To finish us off, I’m going to go back to the Koelf brand with their pink nail treatment pack. I expect this to be very similar to the previous hydrogel packs, though I don’t think I’ve used anything similar for my nails before.

Before using this, I thought that my nails were in a pretty good condition but – let me tell you – you have no idea how dry they are until after they are hydrated! Lets give this a shot. On with the review!

Review: Callus Care Elbow Patch (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare

I’m back with another review (of course), and this time it’s another Koelf hydropatch – for your elbows. For a lot of us, we pay so much attention to moisturising our faces, legs and necks (especially our necks, okay) and more difficult to see spots tend to be neglected. Dry elbows don’t look very nice and nor do they feel great. Cracked skin can make sure a pretty painful experience, especially in an area that moves and rubs against other surfaces so often.

I have to admit that my own elbows are pretty neglected. They have been dry to the point of hurting before, which isn’t something to be that proud about. For that reason, I was looking forward to trying this out. I wanted something that could give my elbows a quick hydration that lasted even after the product wore off. It was also important for it to be easy to use and not affect my movement, as I do a lot of work at home.

If you’ve read my previous Koelf review, you will know that I also tested their heel patch. For this one, I’ll be using my own body instead of my mum’s (but thanks for helping me apply it, mum!) and giving you my thoughts on it. Like the previous, this product was also sent to me for review by RoseRoseShop so don’t forget to check them out too!

Review: Callus Care Heel Patch (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare

I’m back with another review and, instead of focusing on our faces, let’s stop to think about our feet! We stand and walk on them all day, force them into pretty (very probably painful) shoes, so it’s only natural that they deserve a bit of pampering as well. We have moisturisers, gels and peeling masks – which I personally only use once every few months but really enjoy playing with – but here’s a hydrating patch by Koelf.

This product is a lot faster than peeling masks and specifically targets one part of the foot (the heel) though can obviously be used on other parts of the feet if needed. You basically apply it to your heel and then put on your socks (this step is optional, but recommended if you don’t want to slip and slide around). It says to keep it on for a minimum of an hour, but I don’t think there is a maximum time you can have it on. It really just depends on your comfort and time allowance.

I was sent a pack of these to test by the awesome people at RoseRoseShop and each pack as six sheets (or three pairs). They’re really cheap actually and on sale for $3.36 each – not a bad price, really. Because I personally have pretty decent feet, in that they don’t really get dry or crack, I asked my mother to test these for me instead and we observed the use and effectiveness together.

Review: Kamiya Hand Cream and Blotting Paper

Japan Skin Kamiya Hand Cream Blotting Paper Review

Remember that super cute, ridiculous bottle of lotion that I reviewed before? The one that was sent to me by JapanSkin? Well, what I didn’t mention in that previous post (or perhaps I did and I had simply forgotten) is that it isn’t the only thing they had sent me! Also by the Japanese boutique brand Kamiya, I also received one of their hand creams and green tea blotting paper to test as well and I was very happy with them. Although the hand cream was nothing spectacular (and I’m not a frequent user of it anyway), I absolutely loved the blotting paper. It was very absorbent, smelled really good and the packaging was simply innovative. It’s very clear to see that Kamiya had experience with paper because they’re just very good at it!

If you’re interested in anything that I’ve shown here, or the Kamiya Silk Lotion that I reviewed earlier, then just go to JapanSkin. These are not affiliate links and, whilst I have been sent these products to review, I always give my honest opinion (even if they’re not completely positive)!

Unboxing and Review: Skin18

Skin18 Sheet Mask Asian Beauty Review

Please note that these products have been sent to me for review and the links are affiliate links. However, the review is purely my own honest opinions and are a reflection of the products, not the service.

Before this review, I had never heard of Skin18 before. I found them on Instagram though and noticed that they have a blogger program which focuses less on promoting their store and more about introducing and testing out new beauty products from lesser known brands. I thought this was a great opportunity so I was quickly on board. Soon enough, I had been sent the above pictures package of four different masks to review for you guys!

I took my time testing enough one, making sure to use them on days when my skin wasn’t doing so great (I wanted to see what differences the masks could make and, frankly, considering the weather, it isn’t so hard to catch me on a bad skin day) and making sure that I weren’t using them back to back. Some of these products I loved, some I wasn’t so sure about so – enough of me talking – let’s go!
