Review: Peri’s Ink Drop BB Cream (Peripera)

Peripera Clio Peri's Ink Pure Ivory KollectionK Kbeauty Review

I am a massive fan of Clio, as people are well aware, and one of their other brands is Peripera. Although I am not a hundred percent certain whether Peripera is a sub-brand or similar, I do know that they both have the same strengths in staying power and pigmentation. I’ve been obsessed with the Peri’s Ink lip tints since trying them over in Korea so I was super excited when they actually came out with a Peri’s Ink Drop BB Cream!

This product comes in the very familiar Peri’s Ink packaging, though slightly altered for the new product, and contains SPF30 PA++. It’s a little bit less than what I would usually use but, since I’ve now developed the good habit of using sunscreen, I can look past that.

If you’re interested in getting this product, or some others, check out KollectionK. They were so nice to send me a couple of products to review and I have good thoughts towards their service as well – clean shopping cart, easy to search products and a useful wishlist function. Since my first review, they have also launched a part of their website called Koncierge – a personal shopping service, for when you’re looking for products that you can’t find on their website (or elsewhere).

Unboxing and Haul: StyleKorean

StyleKorean Kbeauty Review Aprilskin BB Cushion Pink Purple White Magic Snow

Hi everyone! I’m here today to introduce (and give you my thoughts) on my new collaborator –StyleKorean. They are a Korea based online store that specialises in kbeauty and had actually contacted me about sending some things over for me to review. I’m so thankful for the opportunity and great support that they’ve given me! I’ve been posting on this blog steadily and trying to improve my content, so it’s always really great to find people who enjoy what I post – especially when they also share my passion for bringing great asian beauty products to a wider international audience.

StyleKorean has been operating since 2012 and, since 2015, have international warehouses in both Korea and Hong Kong as well them offices in Hong Kong, China, USA and Korea. They are extremely professional and you can read more about them on their website.

Looking through their store, I am absolutely taken aback by their clean and user friendly web design, which is often a weakness of kbeauty stores. The website is very easily to navigate and they also stock a wide range of brands and products – including some that are less common on other websites: 3CE, Memebox and Son & Park being some of that I am most excited about.

If you want to check out their website, click the below banner! Otherwise, let’s proceed with the haul:

Review: Wonder Pore Balancing Cream (Etude House)

Beautynetkorea Kbeauty Review Wonderpore Cream Etude House

When people ask you the name the pretty, cutest Korean beauty brand, the first brand that comes to mind is usually Etude House. This super cute brand, well known for their princess-like packaging and undeniable appreciation for all things baby coloured and sweet, is usually targeted towards a younger audience – teenagers and those who are just dipping their feet into the world of beauty. Not to be stopped though, Etude House has somewhat of a cult following even with the young but mature crowd (such as myself), especially because their affordable price point and attentive design also comes with, for lack of a better phrase, pretty darn good quality.

This product that I am about to very happily review was sent to me by Beautynetkorea, and is a pore minimising face cream. This product claims to balance out oil and sebum in order to shrink pores and smooth out your skin. The thing to keep in mind when using these products is that pore size is very much genetic and there is no natural way to rid your skin of pores – they are just as necessary a body part as your arms and legs! However, when these pores are clogged or with the secretion of sebum, it can give the appearance of bigger pores.

If you’re interested in this product, or in checking out everything else that Beautynetkorea stocks, click their name to go to their site. Otherwise, let’s continue!

Review: Cleopatra 24K Gold Hydrogel Mask (Kiyora Japan)

Alphabeauty Japanese Beauty Review

I’ve been complaining a lot about the dry, cold weather here in Sydney. With it now moving into spring and with me having terrible allergies, it honestly isn’t getting much better. For that reason, I’ve been using sheet masks more frequently lately – goat’s milk, snail (of course), hyaluronic acid and now… 24k gold. I’m personally a big fan of hydrogel masks because I like how firmly they stay on the face. I’m not a very ‘lie back and relax’ sort of person so I like to keep working while the mask is doing its magic.

The benefit of hydromasks, aside from their stickiness, is that the gel allows the essence to be absorbed slower, giving your skin more time to really drink it all up. Most of them have a good cooling effect as well, which is great on hot days or days when you’ve been out in the sun. The downside, I find, is that these masks tend to have a lot less essence and a thinner formula than the average sheet masks – something that I noticed, but may not necessarily be fact.

Overall, I do really enjoy hydromasks so I had a lot of fun trying this one. If you’d also like to grab one, they’re available on Alpha Beauty – who so kindly sent me these to review!

Review: Bunny 3Color Green (Klenspop)

Klenspop bunny 3 color green review

I am officially addicted to wearing coloured circle lenses and, honestly, can’t imagine how I’ve gone without them for so long! I love that they give you overall look a nice pop and I think that they really tie an outfit together. Subtle circle lenses are good for more casual or formal events, while striking and eye-catching colours and designs are perfect for fun days out or parties.

In lenses, I usually pay particular attention to the comfort, vibrancy of the colour (how it turns out on my super dark eyes), how well they blend into my natural colour and what sort of make up I think it suits best. For my review for theses pretty, green lenses from Klenspop, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and show how I would wear these paired with a brighter, eye-catching make up look!

If you are interested in these lenses or would like to see what else Klenspop has to offer, just click the links! This is not as affiliate link (and 99% of my links aren’t) but you can use to get 10% off – and who doesn’t love that: R9LAF9SP

Review: Dollish Veil Vita BB (Lioele)

Beautynetkorea Kbeauty Review Lioele Dollish BB Cream

A super exhausting few days means that updates and new posts have been slightly delayed on my end, so I have to apologize for that! However, I am back and here with another review of a product I’ve been meaning to try for quite a while – Lioele’s Dollish Veil Vita BB. I’ve had this product recommended to me a few times and I thought that the colour correction/changing function was quite unique. However, I’ve never actually used anything from Lioele before so I was interested to see how this would perform.

I think that, since this product, they have also released a new, similar (?) CC cream version (correct me if I’m wrong). This product was sent to me for review by Beautynetkorea so if you’ve like to get your hands on this, or search for the new products to test, just click on their name!

And now, moving on, let’s look at these BB creams! I received both colours for this – green and purple. Presumably, the green can be used to counter redness while the purple would even and brighten your overall skin tone. I often use a colour correcting base under my make up, though the actual colour often varies. I don’t have too much redness, but am prone to some uneven skin tone and yellow/sallow skin (thanks to sleepless nights).

This BB cream is meant to adapt to your skin colour, which would be good for those who have difficulty finding good matches. However, being approximately a #21 (or #23 darkest) myself, I am a little hesitant to say this will work for darker skin tones without making your base too ashy.

KollectionK Kbeauty Review

Please note that this post uses affiliate links, but I have not been paid to write this post. Any money made from affiliate links is invested back into the maintenance and updating content for this blog.

To be honest, I had sincerely thought that this post was already made! Only, I just realised that the photos were sitting in my drafts and I’ve been testing these products and thinking up the review before even doing the haul post. Aren’t I silly? Anyway, today is just one of those days – it’s rainy here in Sydney, work is rather slow and not very much is happening. As a pick me up, I figured that it would be best to do this post and look at all these lovely things that KollectionK had sent me to review! Most of these are actually things that I chose myself so I’ll talk about why I was interested in them too.

KollectionK Kbeauty Haul Review

If you’re interested in checking out KollectionK, click the link above. Although their prices are a little higher than the other stores I’ve visited, they also have one of the best designed and most user friendly stores that I have seen for kbeauty.

While I was shopping on their site, I liked to go through everything and make a wish list, which I would then go through again. If there are some items on your wishlist that are out of stock, then don’t worry about that either! KollectionK restocks very often and will even send you an email to let you know. Overall, I really love their website and think their service is good too!

Let’s move onto what I recieved!

Review: 1 Day Tattoo Liner (K-Palette)

K Palette 1 Day Tattoo Alice in Wonderland Alphabeauty Japanese Beauty Review

I am obsessed with Disney – I think that is a fact that everyone should be aware of. Whenever there is a Disney collaboration, my head pokes in in interest… which is exactly what happened here. Looking at the different products on Alphabeauty’s website, I was drawn towards all of the Alice in Wonderland collaborations that seemed to be happening over in Japan. K-Palette’s 1 Day Tattoo came recommended to me by Sophia, so I was pretty excited to test that out.

I am generally very loyal to my Clio Kill Black, which is the first and most effective liquid liner that I’ve learnt to use on a daily basis. Aside from that, I’m very much a gel liner type of girl because I like to have as much control over my liner as possible and a very deep black. This one, however, comes really close to the Clio!

Review: One Shot Sherbet Cleanser (Etude)

Beautynetkorea Kbeauty Review Etude House Olemong Sherbet Cleanser

Everyone has been obsessed with double cleansing and, admittedly, I’m pretty late on the bandwagon but I’m here now! Today, I’ll be reviewing a product that was very kindly sent me to be Beautynetkorea, who were the ones who actually suggested this to me. This is the O-Le-Mong sherbet cleanser by Etude House, which is scented with three different fruits – orange, lemon and grapefruit! The packaging is pretty cute, in my opinion, though the bright yellow a little different from Etude House’ usual.

The first time that this product was sent to me, the product had unfortunately leaked and ruined the beauty of the packaging, s oBeautynetkorea were sweet enough to send me another one (and even extra bubble wrapped it to make sure it wouldn’t happen again). If you’re interested in checking out this product – or all the other things they carry – click on the links. Otherwise, onto the review!

Unboxing and Review: Alphabeauty

Alphabeauty Japanese Beauty Review

As Kbeauty fans, I think that it’s very (very) easy for us to accidentally neglect all of the other products that are out there for us – even those that are still within the Asian beauty industry! The fact is that the Korean industry is huge, with many low-end, high-end, mainstream and even indie brands that are constantly putting out new products, developing new formulas and just really demanding our attention. However, some people might have noticed that I had paid a little attention recently to Japanese cosmetics and skincare. Admittedly, I don’t have much knowledge or experience in their industry (and could hardly name even ten brands) but I have heard some great things about them!

For this reason, I am so happy that I have been sent some pretty interesting things by Alpha Beauty to review! All of these brands are completely new to be and, while I had heard of their names before, I am definitely going in with zero subjectivity no preconcieved expectations.

I’ll be giving everyone a brief overview of the products that I have received (and have already started testing). If you are interested in Japanese cosmetics or skincare, check out Alpha Beauty!
