Review: White Grape Fresh Foundation (Skinfood)

QDepot Review Kbeauty Skinfood White Grape Fresh Foundation

I have had people positively rave to me about Skinfood and, from my experience with their skincare products, they are really great at what they do. However, I have only properly tried one cosmetic product from them and swatched a bunch of things in-store and… well, it’s unfortunate that I feel cosmetics really aren’t in their forte. Regardless, I do like to keep giving brands second, third and fourth chances since new products and formulas are always being released – especially in an industry as fast-paced and competitive as Korean beauty. When Q-Depot contacted me recently to offer to send me another product to try out, I very promptly said yes and… well, I have mixed feelings about this.

This is the White Grape Fresh Foundation from Skinfood, and it contains green grape extract. Grapes are considered an ‘anti-aging’ fruit because they have a lot of anti-oxidants, vitamin C and green grapes specifically are said to help speed up cell renewal processes (source). I’m not completely sure of how many of these benefits you will get from this foundation, since there isn’t much information I can find online, but it’s nice to know! Skinfood is general is known to use a lot of natural, skin benefiting ingredients and they also make the Black Sugar Honey Mask which I reviewed for Q-Depot before and still love!

Check out their website and use the code SW10OFF for 10% off! This isn’t an affiliate code, just a general discount code I have. Otherwise, let’s go on with the review!

Brand Spotlight: Skin Editor

Skin Editor Kbeauty Skincare Review Lilac & Berries

It’s been a while since I first wrote about Skin Editor – you can find my previous post about them here – but with the launch of some new products and them being stocked with Australia online store Lilac & Berries, I just had to write about them again! This is going to be a brand spotlight post with some first impressions on the new products, which they so kindly sent over for me to try, as well as a recap on the rest of their line which they have also sent over again.

According to Lilac & Berries, “Skin Editor is founded by Morvanic – a company formed by qualified pharmacists. The company is specialized in treating skin post laser, peeling and clinical care. Their products have been distributed exclusively to hundreds of skin clinics in Korea in the last 10 years.

Skin Editor products are introduced to the market for everyday consumer, its products contain EGF, centella asiatica extracts and hydrating properties such as beta glucan.”

As mentioned, Lilac & Berries is Australian and they currently only ship to Australia and New Zealand. This is great for us locals because it means that we won’t have to deal with exorbitant shipping and exchange rates but, for those internationally who wish to purchase, you can buy it on Amazon from Skin Editor.

At the moment, two of Skin Editor‘s products are available for purchase on Lilac & Berries, though I am sure that more of them will be made available later on. Let’s move into the post now!

Review: Glow Oil Tint (Beyond x Alice in Wonderland)

Beyond x Alice in Wonderland Glow Oil Tint BB Cosmetic Review

This one is going to be a really short post, mostly because I don’t have much to say about this product – I just liked it and wanted to show it off! This is an oil tint that I received from BB Cosmetic quite a while ago to play around with and I’ve been keeping it around for when ever my lips feel a bit dry. This is actually the first product that I’ve tried from Beyond, which I have only heard of from my friend Sophia when we walked past a store in Seoul – they are not tested on animals which, although isn’t something I look into a lot, is still something that I think is great and fully support!

As you can very obviously see, this product was in collaboration with Disney and is Alice in Wonderland themed! I’m not sure what other products they released, but I’m always a fan of anything Disney (my favourite is Peter Pan, but lets get into that another time). From what I can see, BB Cosmetic doesn’t seem to carry anything from this brand anymore but, still, feel free to check out their website because they have a great range of products. Aside from free shipping, you can also get 8% off with my code – which is either at the end of this post or on my side.

Anyway, let’s dive right into the review!

Review: Candy Rock Palette (16 Brand)

StyleKorean Review Kbeauty 16 Brand Brick It Shadow Hit 10 Candy Rock

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

You know those special, pretty products that you see online (usually on Instagram) and you sort of fawn over them for a really long time? This palette from 16 Brand was one of them. I first came across this candy coloured product on social media and I had looked over all of the official swatches and videos, but I couldn’t find anywhere online that stocked it. Unfortunately, 16 Brand is still a little bit hard to get outside of Korea – the only online store that I have found is StyleKorean and, actually, they only recently stocked this palette.

This is from their Brickit Shadow Hit 10 collection, of which there was previously a Choco set. This Candy Rock palette features 10 shimmering, unicorn candy colours that range from pastel pinks and purples, to beautiful coppers. All of the colours are shimmers, of course, so this isn’t a palette that you can use on its own. However, from the photos that I saw, the product promised some really interesting and unique shades that worked amazingly for point colours.

I received this palette from StyleKorean for review, where you can buy it (or a range of other 16 Brand products) for USD$28.97. Check out their website, but first let’s get into the review.

Review: Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water (By Wishtrend)

Wishtrend Review Kbeauty skincare Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

This product was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Most of us are familiar with Wishtrend as an online store – they sell a careful curation of Korean skincare and make up products; though their focus is mainly on the former. Aside from the brands that they stock (such as Benton, COSRX and Klairs), I found out that they actually have a few of their own exclusive brands. One that I was given the opportunity to test out is their Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water – which is currently offered on their website for USD$22 and free shipping.

To be honest, I didn’t expect to like the product as much as I did, but I do and so I’m really excited to be introducing it here. Essentially, this product is described as a “hydrating and nonirritating exfoliant that can be used daily.” I have been using it at night in replacement of my toner and have tried it on its own as well as as part of my full routine.

Read on for my full review and, remember that you can get this exclusively on Wishtrend.

Review: Tattoo Lip Tint (3CE)

BB Cosmetic Review 3CE Tattoo Lip Tint Kbeauty

In terms of cosmetics, 3CE has been going from strength to strength for me, and so when these Tattoo Lip Tints were released, I was all over that! It’s taken me a while to get my hands on them, mostly because I was hesitating at the price, but BB Cosmetic was so generous to send me them to review and I can confidently confirm that they are worth the money! And I will definitely be looking to get my hands on the rest of them.

These tints come in five colours (Coma, Coolest, Candy Jelly, Luztic and Yay or Nay) and I got my hands on two of them – Coma and Candy Jelly. These sell for USD$12.15 on the BB Cosmetic website, which is already below the RRP on the official Stylenanda website and also includes free shipping. It is a bit more expensive than Peripera – which is my other favourite lip tint – but I actually prefer the formula of this one and would happily pay the extra two dollars for it.

And, with that, let’s go right into the review.

For my general PA: Remember to check out BB Cosmetic to get your hands on these (or any other products from 3CE). They have free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Review: Whitening Pore Sleeping Pack (Innisfree)

Innisfree Whitening Pore Sleeping Pack Review BB Cosmetic Kbeauty

It’s time for some skincare talk! I mostly review make up and cosmetics on my blog (because I have a really short attention span and like to play with colours every day) but I do like to make some room for a bit of skincare – especially because that’s what kbeauty is best known for.

Lately, I have noticed that I developed a few sunspots on my face (even with my regular sunscreen and SPF application) – this can either be genetic, which is highly likely, or because of the super harsh sun here in Australia. For that reason, I’ve been on the look out for whitening products to work on lightening pigmentation on my skin. I have used Vitamin C serums before and seen it work on my mother, but it was at the expense of really thinning out her skin, so I decided to try something else.

Instead, BB Cosmetic sent me a sleeping pack from Innisfree – the Whitening Pore Sleeping Pack. According to the description, this product helps to improve skin tone, dark spots and work towards a ‘transparent’ skin texture. So, I tested this out at night for a pretty long time before going to write this and – while it did improve my skin in some ways – it also didn’t target my dark spots as I wanted it to do.

Remember to check out BB Cosmetic to get your hands on these (or any other products from Innisfree). they have free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Review: 365 Foundation (16 Brand)

StyleKorean Review Kbeauty 16 Brand 16 365 Foundation

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

The more I use products from 16 Brand, I really think that I’m starting to ‘get’ the brand and working out it’s strengths and weaknesses. I’ve reviewed a few of their products before, so feel free to click here to check out my tag. I’m actually quite a fan of their products, mostly because I love ChoSungAh’s ranges in general. Although some products have been a bit of a hit-or-miss for me, they’re all very beautifully packaged and have a great concept that works well. Their contour fingerpen is most definitely a staple for me, while I was most disappointed in their lip pens (which were pretty, but too different from the official swatches).

For today, I’m going to be writing about another product of theirs that caught my eye recently. I saw some YouTubers testing it out and, naturally, the pretty packaging lured me in (16 Brand is so good at that!) so I jumped at the chance to review their foundation. This is the 365 Foundation, which is meant to be a full coverage, hydrating foundation.

I recieved this to review from StyleKorean, where you can buy it (or a range of other 16 Brand products) for USD$24.30 – which is a pretty decent price for a foundation! Check out their website, but first let’s get into the review.

Review: Airy Ink Velvet (Peripera)

BB Cosmetic Review Peripera Peri's Ink Airy Ink Velvet

My love affair with Peripera’s lip tints started when I was studying in Seoul and got myself two of their original Peri’s Ink lip tints after seeing how amazing it looked on my friend (and her assurances that it was the best tint she had ever used). Back then, I liked make up but I wasn’t very well versed nor experimental with the products that I used, so I didn’t really know what to expect. What I got blew my mind though and the two ended up as a staple for my daily make up. A year after, I took another trip to Seoul and found out that Peripera had since released a bunch of other variations – the Moisture, Velvet and Airy lines. I ended up trying the first two, but I hadn’t actually touched the Airy line until now.

BB Cosmetic had sent me over four of these tints to try out and review – which I am so thankful for! These are all of the original colours except for #1 Heart Grapefruit (which I wasn’t sure would suit me) so the make up hoarder in me is really glad to almost have a full set. They have also released some new colours which I will be checking out later on. For now, let’s move onto this review and I can tell you in advance that I am really happy with these!

Remember to check out BB Cosmetic to get your hands on these (or any other products from Peripera). they have free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Review: Three Step Blackhead Solution (Elizavecca)

Elizavecca Kbeauty Review Kangsi Pack EGF Retinol Cream Masks

I was originally debating whether to do this review just on Instagram or here on my blog, but considering that I’ve been falling behind so badly on posts (literally, because I have so many lined up to be written), I figured that it would be better for me to just write here.

This is a Three Step Blackhead Solution (nose pack) that I received to review from Elizavecca a significant time back. I’ve had it sitting on my desk for a long time but I hadn’t used it yet because things got too stressful for me. However, during the time that I was spending at home, I decided to take a half hour out of my night to pamper and relax myself a bit. For most people, this would involve a sheet mask, but I actually have a love for pore strips. I find it so satisfying seeing my pores cleared out, and the clean sensation afterwards is so good.

So, read on for my review of this mask! You can get this off of the Elizavecca website for 3,500 won (around AUD$4), which is a pretty standard price for these sort of ‘special’ masks.
