Review: Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush (Too Faced)

Too Faced Peaches and Cream Peach my Cheeks Melting Powder Blush

I got this blush from the Too Faced Peaches & Cream collection for my birthday and, honestly, the little story behind it makes me so happy (and although I don’t think my friends will be reading this review, I will still thank them here for being thoughtful). The story behind them choosing this blush is that I’ve nagged them a lot about using their fingers for make up application – I generally don’t like to use my hands for anything, even though I went a long time applying my BB cream with nothing but my fingertips. Because of that, I have difficulty with most cream based products, whether it is eyeshadow, highlighter or blush. Even if it’s a great formula, I won’t reach for it because it doesn’t fit into my make up routine so my friends made sure that this was a product that could be used with a brush!

This is the Peach my Cheeks Melting Powder Blush, which has a cream to powder formula that actually applies best with a brush (surprising since it is technically a cream blusher). The fact that I reach for this blush over many others so often proves this point – because I wouldn’t use it otherwise. It has easily become one of my favourite products in this collection and my only disappointment is that there isn’t a bigger shade range. According to the Mecca website, this comes in six shades (of which I have one so far) and there is also a similar highlighter and bronzer shade.

If you’re keen to get your hands on this, you can find it at Mecca for AUD$44 or on the official Too Faced website for USD$30 depending on where you’re from. Otherwise, let’s jump into the review!

Review: White Milk Lotion (3CE)

3CE white milk lotion stylekorean kbeauty review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Whitening creams, or tone up creams if you’re after the proper product name, are a pretty popular item in kbeauty. Not to be confused with bleaching or skin lightening products, which are highly dangerous and should be avoided, tone up creams generally have a more cosmetic effect. Depending on the exact product, they may have skin recovery, SPF or whitening (reducing pigmentation) benefits. The product generally also has a white colour to it so, when applied, will give the skin an immediately brightened effect. This is especially well suited for people who are naturally quite pale but have some unevenness in skin tone. Of course, being a cosmetic whitening product, it does come with some controversy but I’m not here to discuss that.

In the past, I have used the 3CE White Milk Cream, which I liked at the time. I’ve been using the left over (which is now expired) mixed in with a lotion on the rest of my body so I haven’t tried any new whitening cream on my face for quite a while. When I found out that the 3CE white milk range had been expanded though, I was interested. Of course, the fact that this lotion is so insanely excessively packaged definitely helped!

They now carry a handful of skincare products under the White Milk collection, as well as a White Milk Lotion – which I assumed would be a similar tone up cream to the original, but in a lighter formula. I wasn’t exactly right, but I wasn’t wrong either. I received this product to review from StyleKorean and, while it is currently out of stock, they still carrying a range of the White Milk products (like my favourite cushion) and also the similar White Milquidro range.

So, if you’re keen to read more about this product (and see this ridiculous packaging), read on!

Review: Pure Pearlsation Divine Pearl Cleansing Oil & Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam (KLAVUU)

Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

This is going to be a short post because, unfortunately, these cleansing products didn’t really work out for me – in fact, one of them broke me out. In retrospect, I don’t think that I had a very good time with KLAVUU products (which is surprising because a lot of people legitimately love them). I am thinking that one of their core ingredients just don’t work very well with my skin, which is a shame because I really wanted to love these.

Out of their cleansing products, StyleKorean sent me two from their Pure Pearlsation line – the Cleansing Oil and the Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam. As they naturally sit together as a two step cleansing routine, I originally tried them out together but had to drop one completely within a day!

So, if you want to know about my experiences with these products, which one didn’t work for me and what other recommendations I have instead – read on.

Review: Pofee Circle Lenses (Love Shoppingholics)

Love Shoppingholics Circle Lenses Review

These products were sent to me by Love Shoppingholics for review purposes. I was not paid for this post and affiliate links are not used in this post.

It’s been a while since I last reviewed contact lenses, but I was approached recently by a new lens store and I loved the designs that they carried so I really hopped on to try these out. These lenses are from an online store called Love Shoppingholics (which really sounds like me) – they still primarily contact lenses (from casual lenses to cosplay lenses) but also a small range of beauty and make up products.

When I first went to check out their website, I was definitely drawn to their lenses first – in particular from a company called Pofee. They have some natural looking lenses, as well as some very unique styles that look like a starry galaxy. Out of those styles, I decided to go with the QLO 7 Gray (USD$18.90 on sale) and the Bling Mermaid Gray (USD$18.90 on sale) – and while both of those lenses are labelled gray, they definitely look different.

So, read on for some photos and thoughts on the products!

Review: Soft Airy UV Essence (Klairs)

Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence Sunscreen Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I believe strongly in wearing SPF and will almost never go without it. However, because I have had allergic reactions to sunscreens in the past (which resulted in a not-so-fun afternoon at the Gold Coast wanting to scratch my thigh off) I am usually quite cautious with the types of products that I use. Adding in that I will hardly ever go without base make up, I also need skincare products that don’t interfere with the longevity of my foundation.

However, when I found out from Wishtrend that Dear Klairs was launching a new sunscreen, I wanted to give it a try! Partly because I needed to find an option that was more easily accessible (my go-to sunscreen is a Japanese Biore one that I can only get if someone I know or I go to Japan) and also because I have used their products before with great experiences.

Their products are generally also very well targeted for sensitive skin so, while I don’t usually have sensitive skin, this may be good for my (sometimes) SPF allergies. In addition to a product that doesn’t break me out, I am also looking for something lightweight that absorbs well into the skin and doesn’t cause foundation to apply patchy or break up. In general, I found that this sunscreen ticked all of those boxes and may be my new, more accessible alternative.

This sunscreen, the Soft Airy UV Essence is now available at Wishtrend (I received this as a pre-launch PR gift) for USD$23 and is part of their expanding Freshly Juiced Line – which I am a fan of.

Review: Grind Sparkling Shadow (Pony Effect)

Pony Effect Grind Sparkling Shadow Kbeauty StyleKorean review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Highly pigmented and Korean eyeshadow generally doesn’t go hand-in-hand and, from my personal experience, I wasn’t fully happy with the formula of Pony Effect eyeshadows in the past either (I have two palettes from her line with Memebox and I found it quite lacklustre). However, I had seen this product floating around on Youtube, and avoided watching the reviews, and I wanted to try it out.

This is the Grind Sparkling Shadow, which is a very new concept to me. The last time I had seen a grinding product was with VDL (a setting powder) and I’m not sure that I’ve seen this before otherwise. I’m personally a big fan of loose pigments; I have been using them since I first got experimental with make up in music college and I love the intense colour pay-off! That being said, they are pretty messy to work with, so I would never travel with one of them – and maybe this is where this grinding shadow can come into play.

I have two shades from the range – Guest List and EDM. They are on sale at StyleKorean right now for USD$9.99 but it looks like they are either being phased out or are slowly out of stock, so you better get on quickly.

So, let’s get right into the review!

Review: Peach Perfect Foundation (Too Faced)

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation

Ever since I finished up my Fenty Beauty Foundation, I’ve seen on the search for another foundation that would be as good (or at all comparable) to it – after all, that one has ended up being my HG foundation! After trying out a lot of them, both foundations and cushions, I have found another that works perfectly for my skin and ticks (nearly) all of my boxes.

This is the Peach Perfect Foundation by Too Faced, which recently launched at Mecca Maxima in Australia and was on my first Want (Don’t) Need post – it is a matte finish foundation that is meant to be oil-free, oil controlling, without flash back and long wearing (up to 14 hours). It is selling for AUD$52, which is about the same price as other high end foundation, and comes in twenty shades; which is something that I need to touch on.

At the moment, this is a product that I’m reaching for pretty much every day. For myself, it is nearly perfect and I’m really confident to be recommending this to others with combination normal-oily, to oily skin.

So, read on for the full review!

Review: Aurora Pearl Eye Mask (KLAVUU)

Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I wasn’t always a big fan of the hydrogel eye mask but I have since been full converted. I usually use the Heimish Bulgarian Eye Patches every second night (or sometimes every) because I work on a computer the entire day – in general, my dark eye circles can be pretty intense and the skin around my eyes can also become very dehydrated easily. Those come in a tub and are relatively smaller pieces to target the under eye area – they’re more affordable for regular use.

If you want something that will target a larger area though, it is worth looking into individual eye masks. One of them, which I recently received from StyleKorean as part of their KLAVUU review package (read the overall post here) is their Personal Care Aurora Pearl Eye Mask in the Brightening and Revitalizing variation. These are currently selling for USD$5.24 which is a bit expensive, in my opinion, but still alright if they’re more of a special occasion product.

So, if you’re keen to read more about this product – let’s go! This is going to be a relatively concise one.

Review: White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream (KLAVUU)

Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I was really excited to try out the KLAVUU products that StyleKorean had sent over to me and, because I am still using up a bunch of other cleansers, I decided to start out with the White Pearlsation Ideal Actress Backstage Cream. This is a product that I originally mistook as a sunscreen, and then figured it was a tone-up cream and then realised that it is actually both. It is a product that can be used underneath make up or alone too.

Unfortunately, this is a product that didn’t suit my skin very well and made me break out – although this is likely to be different individual-to-individual. So, I’m going to be giving you some information on this product, as well as my personal experiences with using it.

This product is selling on the StyleKorean website for USD$34.24, which is relatively expensive – as many KLAVUU products are. There are definitely other tone up creams that are more affordable and have a more lightweight formula.

So, here’s the review!

Review: Moist Cushion (Huxley)

Huxley Secret of Sahara Moist Cushion Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

One of my favourite kbeauty brands at the moment has got to be Huxley – I was introduced to them not too long ago by the StyleKorean Beauty Guru Competition (where I got the opportunity to try out their sheet masks). Since then, I have used a few other skincare products from them and they have been exceptionally great for my skin. I’m also a really big fan of their signature scent, which is really fresh and light.

That all being said, I haven’t tried out any makeup from their brand (though I have a feeling that this is their first cosmetic product) so I was pretty eager to try out their Moist Cushion – which has been really kindly sent to me by StyleKorean to review. I haven’t been really into dewy finishes lately so, to be honest, I tried out this product thinking that I wouldn’t like it but it is surprisingly nice and works well for my skin type.

In addition, I really just live for this scent and I want to bathe my soul in it.

So, let’s get right into this review so I can tell you about one of the most fancy (but classy) cushion cases that I own.
