Review: Gradation Bold Blush (3CE)

3CE Stylenanda gradation bold blush peachy beach

I have been so obsessed with blush. I think this has to do with the recently spreading trend of the ‘hangover beauty’ or byojaku trend from Japan. I’m aware that this has been around for a really long time but, recently, I feel like it’s spread to Korea and internationally as well. Of course, since I do live in Sydney where our trends are quite… basic and safe, I do have to dilute this style a little bit. I tend to focus the blush right under my eyes and then subtly blend it out the sides. For this look, I’m looking for strong pigmentation, a creamy, blend-able formula and a wearable colour.

Easy enough, right?

During this trip to Korea, I ended up buying quite a lot from 3CE – actually, I think they were the third top store that I shopped in. The reason for that is that I actually fell in love with their colour pigmentation products, one of which is this gradation blush. I swatched it in store one day and almost immediately knew I had to buy it.

Review: Hyaluron Moisture Mask (Cracare)

Skin18 Cracare Hyaluron Moisture Mask Review

I’m finishing off my Skin18 reviews today! This one is a mask which is part of Cracare’s 3-Step Series. I personally love multi-step masks, from hydrating to pore cleaning. I feel like the different steps work together to give you the best results, even if it can take a little longer. The main issue, however, is if there is a certain product in these sets that you don’t like. Personally, I haven’t come across that issue though.

This Cracare moisture masks is meant to sooth and hydrate your skin. It claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, instantly pump (plump?) up your face with hydration and leave your skin replenished and radiant. In my review, I’ll be looking at the hydration claims more than I will the anti-wrinkle, just because I don’t have enough wrinkles to really see a difference.

Review: Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask (Elizavecca)

Stylekorean Kbeauty Review Hell Pore Clean Up Mask Elizavecca

I’ll be honest, the reason I wanted to try this is because I watched Tati’s video and seeing her tear up trying to peel this off sort of made me laugh. I’ve had experience using peel off masks before (along with nose strips) and they generally don’t hurt me much. They also don’t usually remove blackheads from my pores either, so I mostly use them for a bit of fun and just general pore cleaning.

For Elizavecca’s Hell Pore Clean Up Mask though, the product had been hyped so much and there are so many (way overly faked) screaming videos of people peeling it off, that I just had to try it out for myself. For this review, please keep in mind that different skin types and sensitivities will react differently – my own is generally not very sensitive (aside from allergies) so what doesn’t irritate my skin might do yours.

I received this product from StyleKorean for reviewing purposes, so remember to click onto their page to check it out (as well as all the other pretties that they carry – just in time for Christmas shopping). On with the review!

Review: Vivian Blue (Klenspop)

Klenspop Vivian Blue review

This review is definitely a long time coming! I received this package while I was in Korea so had to wait until I was back in Sydney to photograph them and then, of course, took a while to get to finishing the photos (and wearing them out a bit more to get a good idea of my thoughts). That being said, let’s proceed!

This is another pair of lenses that I received from Klenspop which I absolutely love. I’ve worn them on a few occasions and I think they’re best suited for a more heavy make up look – it’s definitely not a casual, every day lens. Read on for my review and more photos!

Review: Collagen Modeling Cup Pack (Inoface)

Skin18 Collagen Modeling Cup Pack Review

I was planning on waiting at least another two days before doing this review but, to be honest, I am sitting down right after trying this mask because I am so disappointed in it. Out of the whole set that I had received from Skin18, I was actually the most excited to try this one – it was a concept that I hadn’t tried before and, well, it’s collagen. I feel like collagen and vitamin C are the super essentials in my skin care.

So tonight, I went and prepped my face with some toner, serum and essence (as I had read on their website that these masks are often used over skin care to seal in the product) and I was preparing myself for a nice night of super glowing skin and hydration but then… well, disaster struck.

I had even taken an additional photo and planned on taking two more, but I am so disappointed in this that I don’t even see the point in editing an extra image.

Review: Green Tea Moisture Cream (Innisfree)

Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Cream Review

If you’ve been reading my blog (or keeping up with my complains on instagram), you’ll have that I’m terrible with my dry skin – wether, allergies… even lack of sleep can influence it. We’ve hit warmer weather here in Sydney, so it hasn’t been as bad and I’ve been able to use lighter products. Regardless, this cream from Innisfree still comes in really handy for a quick, strong hydration routine! This is a cream that I bought with cold, dry weather in mind though so I have been using this sparingly; maybe once or twice a week.

This is the Green Tea Moisture Cream and, if you haven’t guessed already, it’s from their Moisture line. They also have their balance line (which is good for normal to oily skin, I believe), as well as their Seed line which is even stronger than this – though it is a bit pricier.

I have been using a few products from this line, so read on for my review of this thick, super moisturising cream!

Review: it Radiant CC Cover Cushion (Banila Co x Iphoria)

Banila Co iPhoria it Radiant CC Cover Cushion Review

I’ll be honest, I completely splurged at Banila Co because I am so excited about Taeyeon being their new model. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge (and probably embarrassing) fan of hers – and SNSD, of course. Prior to this, I had never actually never used anything from them, not even their super famous Clean it Zero cleansers. However, I think I’ve stocked up on a pretty good variety to get a good feel for their brand (and figure out their strengths and weaknesses).

So here I go with my first Banila Co review! This is a cushion that I wanted as soon as the collaboration came out. Of course, this desire was only further augmented with Taeyeon’s photoshoot came out. This is from their collaboration with Iphoria, a super quirky accessories brand and comes with four different cases. The refills are interchangeable – they are previously existing Banila Co formulas, so it is really only the packaging that’s different.

Review: Snail Essence Mask (Luke)

Skin18 Luke Snail Essence Mask Review

This is my second time receiving a blogger’s package from Skin18 so it’s really nice to take my time, sit back and relax with these sheet masks and packs. Some of these were more exciting to test than others but I’m sure that you will noticed that throughout the posts. The first one I decided to try (well, the one I’m posting about first) is a Snail Essence Mask by the brand LUKE. I’ve used a lot of snail masks in the past and my favourite has been from Hanskin, so I was interested to see how this would compare.

According to the website, this mask protects elasticity and to repair skin from the aging process. It provides a concentrated burst of nutrition and hydrates the skin. The latter is what I tend to focus on most, as I have very minimal need for anti-aging properties at the moment. The website also says that this has whitening functions but… I’m unsure about that.

Review: Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack (Innisfree)

Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack

Honestly, I did not walk into Innisfree with the intention of buying much and yet, the longer I spent in the store, the more and more I found I wanted to try new products. I start off thinking that I would buy a large size of the volcanic clay mask (which I did) and ended up with an entire basket full – in fact, I think I still ended up spending the most out of three of us and I didn’t usually use many of Innisfree products. In the end, I realised that I’m simply a sucker for anything that feels hydrating and smells good. I’m easily bought over.

This one is a sleeping pack that was recommended to me by a sales lady in Edae (she was the best, to be honest). Initially, I wasn’t planning on buying it because I felt that the wine scent was too strong but, after around ten minutes, I realised that I was addicted to smelling it. I ended up purchasing both the sleeping pack and the peeling gel; they were very affordable too.

After some (very fun) testing, I’m now ready to do the review! So read on to find out my thoughts.
