Is there anyone out there who hasn’t heard of Pixi Beauty? They are a brand started by make up artist and product developer Petra Strand and was launched over 20 years ago – so they know what they’re doing! They aim to create “innovative formulations that are infused with botanicals and beneficial ingredients,” as well as products that are multitasking and effective for people who are on-the-go and live a busy lifestyle.
They focus primarily on skincare (though do have some brilliant make up products too) and are especially known for formulations that create a beautiful, glowing radiance to skin – most famously their Glow Tonic! Recently they developed a full collection of products inspired by this favourite product, and I was ridiculously excited and lucky to get this whole range to share for you guys!
It’s just my luck that the moment I’m getting ready to review pimple patches, my skin is actually flawless (for once in my life). For this reason, this is super delayed but I really wanted to try these out properly and give you a real review rather than just an overview of the product. This is the Perfect Pimple Patch from Subi Beauty, a hydrocolloid patch to help drain and heal break outs.
If you’re unfamiliar with Subi Beauty, that’s because they’re new! They call themselves “half Aussie, half Korean” – Australian owned but born in Korea. They aim to merge Korean skincare innovations with Australian minimalism to create simple and effective skincare.
Since they are a new brand, they currently only carry the Perfect Pimple Patch, but I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot more from them soon! These are available for purchase on their website for USD$29.95 for a set of 3 packs (that’s 54 patches in total), along with free shipping on all orders.
Check them out here and let’s also get into this review!
So this took me so long to do this write up (although I had already done a review on this brand on my Instagram) but I felt like I couldn’t skip out on this because I have genuinely been really enjoying Full Brow products and have fully worked them into my every day make up routine!
For those that don’t know them, Full Brow is an indie Australian brand that focuses almost solely on your brows – i.e. my everything. They are Melbourne based and work to create quality brow products that are also simple to suit people of varying styles and experience levels too! Their products are cruelty-free and paraben free, and many of them are also vegan-friendly too.
They reached out to be about trying out some of their products and I chose three from their range that I felt would sit in well with my personal brow style and routine – the Brow Powder, Brow Crayon and their Brow Fibre.
This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.
When it comes to toners, some people prefer super hydrating formulas and others need oil control. In the end, a lot of that comes down to your skin condition and type so – even for me – I switch a lot between products. The one thing that reminds the same though is that I love a mist toner! I would honestly finish up so many bottles of these and then refill them because I don’t see why regular bottles exist anymore (a bit of an exaggeration but you know what I mean).
I’m known to be carrying around a mist most of the time and I even had a small collection on my desks at home and work – so it’s clear that this is one of my favourite application methods for most things. I just find that it is so quick and simple, with no need to fuss with cotton pads and possible spillage. For someone who is usually running short on time, anything to simplify my skincare routine is preferred.
StyleKorean recently contacted me about testing out a new product that they are yet to officially stock – just because they want more real opinions on the products before launching. I really respect this so I definitely jumped on board right away. This is the 24 Hour Secret Mist Plus from the brand Ground Plan. It is currently not on sale on the StyleKorean website yet but I will definitely be updating this post when it is. In the meantime, check out their website and let’s get on with this review!
Althea Korea is absolutely killing it with their new releases. Aside from the great curation that they have on their website, I have also been really enjoying the products from their exclusive (i.e. in-house) brands – from super creamy and pigmented lip tints, to a lightweight and velvet-soft sunscreen, it seems like they are taking all of the right steps! Although I haven’t loved everything (their Milk Peel Cream Mask was not a favourite of mine, although many others enjoy it), I am generally really excited when ever they have new product launches.
In the past, all of their exclusive releases have been under their main Althea Collection(which includes their Bare Essentials and Petal Velvet line) but this one is a little bit different in that they just launched a new brand!
This is called A’Bloom and is like the more cute, fun and youthful little sister to the core brand. At the moment, the range consists of four fruit based sheet masks (Watermelon, Peach, Avocado and Lemon Lime), the BHA Blackhead Blaster and two Meringue Puffs (in either the Baby size or the Giant). Prices are ridiculously affordable with sheet masks starting at 10 for USD$3.50 (or 50 cents if bought individually) and the most expensive item is the BHA Blackhead Blaster which is still a steal at USD$4. This range is definitely great if you’re on a budget or just want to try out something new that won’t break the bank.
So, I was lucky enough to have been sent the entire range to test out so let’s get into this review. I want to go into every single item here for you! Let’s go!
