Review: Snail Essence Mask (Luke)

Skin18 Luke Snail Essence Mask Review

This is my second time receiving a blogger’s package from Skin18 so it’s really nice to take my time, sit back and relax with these sheet masks and packs. Some of these were more exciting to test than others but I’m sure that you will noticed that throughout the posts. The first one I decided to try (well, the one I’m posting about first) is a Snail Essence Mask by the brand LUKE. I’ve used a lot of snail masks in the past and my favourite has been from Hanskin, so I was interested to see how this would compare.

According to the website, this mask protects elasticity and to repair skin from the aging process. It provides a concentrated burst of nutrition and hydrates the skin. The latter is what I tend to focus on most, as I have very minimal need for anti-aging properties at the moment. The website also says that this has whitening functions but… I’m unsure about that.

Review: Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack (Innisfree)

Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack

Honestly, I did not walk into Innisfree with the intention of buying much and yet, the longer I spent in the store, the more and more I found I wanted to try new products. I start off thinking that I would buy a large size of the volcanic clay mask (which I did) and ended up with an entire basket full – in fact, I think I still ended up spending the most out of three of us and I didn’t usually use many of Innisfree products. In the end, I realised that I’m simply a sucker for anything that feels hydrating and smells good. I’m easily bought over.

This one is a sleeping pack that was recommended to me by a sales lady in Edae (she was the best, to be honest). Initially, I wasn’t planning on buying it because I felt that the wine scent was too strong but, after around ten minutes, I realised that I was addicted to smelling it. I ended up purchasing both the sleeping pack and the peeling gel; they were very affordable too.

After some (very fun) testing, I’m now ready to do the review! So read on to find out my thoughts.

Review: Air Cushion Moisture Lasting (IOPE)

IOPE Air Cushion Moisture Lasting Natural Beige N21 Review

When I heard that IOPE had released a new series of their cushions, I was beyond excited. They now have a broader range of colours and finishes – ranging from matte, natural to dewy. Since I first tried their XP cushion, they had been on the top of my HG list, so I was really excited to see how they had improved the formula. And goodness, I am happy.

With this cushion, I bought it on G-Market around the time it was first released, so I also got an extra refill, a limited edition case (not photographed as I don’t have it on me, but you will see it on Instagram) and a bunch of samples. I was tempted to try out their higher coverage version, but I ended up going with their ‘Moisture Lasting’ formula. I’ve always been a big fan of dewy finishes, though often have issues with it slipping or caking during the day – as I’m not very good at touching up.

What I found with this cushion is that I rarely have to touch up, and the caking is super minimal. I used it throughout my trip in Korea and I am still using it now. I bought a lot of other cushions, but this one remains at the top of the list.

Review: White in Whipping Cream (G9 Skin)

G9 Skin Berrisom White in Whipping Cream Review BB Cosmetic

When I came back from Korea, I’d brought back so much that I knew my blog would be back logged for ages – and I’m right because I just finished drafting around thirty five new review posts, and that isn’t even everything yet. It’s a bit daunting to look at that number, but I figured that there’s no better to time kick back in so here I am!

The first review I’ll be doing is for a product that I was actually gifted by BB Cosmetic. I met up with one of their managers, Elle, while I was in Seoul and she was so, so sweet. We had some trouble finding each other in Hongdae because I didn’t have a phone to properly contact her, but we finally met, had dinner and just chatted in general. She gave me a few products from the company to review, so I’m really happy that I got to test this.

I actually didn’t come across G9 Skin in Korea, most likely because they are very new. The brand is a sister brand (I think) of Berrisom, both of which aren’t exactly road shop brands so you need to find a stockist for them. Luckily for us though, they are very easily accessible online.

Review: Dailism Serum Rogue (Heimish)

Heimish StyleKorean Review Kbeauty Dailism Serum Rogue

Everything that I have tried from Heimish so far has totally blown me away, so I’m pretty happy to finish off this series of reviews with two of their serum rogue lipsticks. Though their products aren’t cheap, they are far from expensive (and are actually pretty affordable), have excellent pigmentation and very pretty packaging – which is often a deal breaker for me.

Heimish as a brand has a modern and chic style, focusing on make up styles that are simple and easy to use for all. The attention is on the wearer (you), instead of the actual product. Their ‘No More Normal’ mantra is about makes you stand out – not them. In this sense, I think that Heimish has a very unique approach to make up and it definitely reflects in their range.

The following lipsticks were sent to me for review by StyleKorean. From memory, not many stores are stocking Heimish yet (as they are not a roadshop brand) so definitely check them out if you’re interested in any of this. You can also check out my previous review of their eyeshadow palette and waterdrop tint.

Review: Pink Nail Treatment Pack (Koelf)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

This is (for now) the last in my series of Koelf masks so, first off, I want to thank RoseRoseShop for sending all of these over for me to test. Previous to this, I’ve never actually used anything from Koelf before. Their products definitely have their pro and cons, but it’s great to see them for myself!

Recently, I’ve tested heel patches (on my mother), elbow patches (on myself) and cleaners and creams from their sister brand Petitfee. To finish us off, I’m going to go back to the Koelf brand with their pink nail treatment pack. I expect this to be very similar to the previous hydrogel packs, though I don’t think I’ve used anything similar for my nails before.

Before using this, I thought that my nails were in a pretty good condition but – let me tell you – you have no idea how dry they are until after they are hydrated! Lets give this a shot. On with the review!

Review: Dailism Waterdrop Tint (Heimish)

Heimish StyleKorean Review Kbeauty Dailism Waterdrop Tint

I love this lip tint. I honestly don’t even know how else to begin this review except for that. I’ve been carrying it in my bag almost religiously so I’ve been using it almost every day – it’s pretty much replaced the old (and now scratched) lip tint that I have from The Face Shop. I brought this to Korea with me, as I did the eyeshadow palette, and I have this one to thank for saving me every time my lips went dry – which was often.

This one is also from Heimish’s Dailism collection and is called their waterdrop tint – most likely a reference to the droplet shaped applicator. It is a lip stain and, in accordance to the Heimish brand, is meant to be easy to use, wearable and also distinctive. The formula is a bit creamy (like a gel) and is said to contain rose hip seed oil extract – keep lips soft and hydrated too.

Read on for my review! This, along with the other Heimish pretties that I’ve been reviewing, have been sent to me for review by StyleKorean and is available for USD$11.77 (full price is USD$13.08) so remember to check them out!

Review: D-Off Phyto Foam Cleanser (Petitfee)

Kbeauty Review RoseRoseShop Koelf Skincare Petitfee

This was a strange product to me and, honestly, I didn’t expect that it’d be strange because… it’s a foam cleanser. I really didn’t expect anything all that different but let me tell you that this one definitely baffled me for a while. This product is from Petitfee and is called the D-Off Phyto Foam Cleanser (which, to me, sort of sounds like it’s swearing but it means dust off), a cleanser made of natural mint leaf and seven herbal ingredients – the foaming aspect is also meant to be fermented nutrient rice foam. It’s purpose is to penetrate pores, cleanse and moisturise.

To be honest, the overall description of this product was quite confusing to me. Perhaps it’s because I don’t approach natural products in such a in depth manner usually, but I still went into testing this product with an open mind! When I basically took from the description is that the foam cleanser uses natural ingredients in order to both cleanse and hydrate your skin – sounds pretty good to me.

I was sent this to review by RoseRoseShop, where you can get a bottle for $4.16 USD (full price is $11.71). It’s a good price for a good sized bottle so, provided that it works, I think it’ll be great for those more conscious about the ingredients in the products they’re using. Read on for my full review!

Review: Beauty Moisturizer EX (VDL)

bb cosmetic review kbeauty korean makeup skincare vdl beauty moisturizer moisturiser ex

And so started my mini love affair with VDL. Prior to this, the only VDL product I had used was their shading liquid – this one hadn’t impressed me very much as both the colour and thin fluid didn’t allow me much control. However, I was contacted by BB Cosmetic recently and they sent me a sample of the Beauty Moisturizer. I gladly accepted, as I was really wanting to given VDL another chance and, goodness, I am glad I did.

I started testing this one before I left for Korea and actually made up my mind about it really quickly – it was very convincing. I actually purchased a bunch of other products from VDL while I was over there too, so there will be more reviews from this brand to come.

For now, read on for my thoughts on this product. You can pick yours up from BB Cosmetic, and don’t forget to use my code for 8% off your purchase: QAL3F6ZA8YZ

With that, it’s on with the review!

Review: Heating Gel Pore Brush (Tosowoong)

My Korean Makeup Kbeauty Review Tosowoong Heating Gel Pore Brush

Just to clarify, I had really high hopes for this product so even though I say that I’m kind of disappointed, it isn’t because it’s a terrible product. It works, just not how I wanted it to.

I had never used anything from Tosowoong before but had heard really great things about the brand so, when I came across this on My Korean Makeup, I decided that I had to try it. The product is a pore cleanser with a gel product and an attached brush, making usage fast and simple. I had actually searched it up online as well and hadn’t found any other reviews for it, so I was hoping that I would discover a new, wonderful product for you guys to use but… unfortunately, not.

Read on for my experience and thoughts about this Tosowoong product. I received this product to review from My Korean Makeup and you can check out their website to purchase this (or anything else).
