Review: Fixing Tint (AprilSkin)

Oh My Stellar Kbeauty Review AprilSkin Fixing Tint Early Picker Review

I actually thought that I had this review already written quite a while ago but it was only looking back in my drafts that I realised I hadn’t! If you think back a few months, Earlypicker had sent me a big package of products for review – most of these consisted of AprilSkin and Medicube. Although I had reviewed some of the main products, I seemed to have forgotten about this one! This is the Fixing Tint from AprilSkin and, contrary to the product name, it is more of a super matte lipstick than a tint.

This is one of the most long wearing lipsticks that I have ever worn on my life! It survived some of my most greasy eating dates – which included fries, fried chicken and frozen coke – and wore throughout the day without any transfer or smearing. As soon as I wore it, I had my friends asking me about the product and wanting to get one themselves.

However, it isn’t without it’s negatives and I certainly have mixed feelings about this product now that I’ve tried it out more. So, without further ado, lets move onto the review!

Review: Black Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 (AprilSkin)

Oh My Stellar Kbeauty Review AprilSkin Black Magic Snow Cushion Early Picker Review

I didn’t expect to love this cushion as much as I did but, perhaps it was because I tested this out right after I did the HERA cushion (which I was quite disappointed in) – but my experiences with it was largely positive! I had tested the AprilSkin cushion in white when it first came out, which was meant to be the more hydrating and lower coverage one; though it was still pretty intense. You can see my previous review for it here but, after using this one, I’m thinking that the 2.0 is a very significant improvement and I actually strongly prefer this black version over the white.

I got this cushion is the shade 21, Light Beige, and people will be pleased to hear that this one comes in three shades – 21, 22 and 23. It doesn’t go much darker than lightly tanned, according to the official information, but it’s nice to know that a different undertone has been considered.

Earlypicker sent me this cushion for review and, since AprilSkin is one of their alliance brands, they carry an incredible range of their products (along with Medicube and Glamd) so definitely check out their store if you’re interested in getting this or anything else. You can also read my haul post here and here from them for more information on their service.

And, without further ado, let’s move on to the review!

Unboxing: Early Picker (AprilSkin & Samples Galore!)

Earlypicker AprilSkin Turn Up Color Treatment Kbeauty Haul Review

I’m back with the second part of my Early Picker haul! Finally. Actually, I received this package not long after I published my first one (and you’ve likely seen a post on my Instagram about this incredibly sample pouch that they have) but I’ve been spreading things out but trying to get super active with posting again. Now, with this post, the main thing that I really wanted to show everyone was their sample pouch (which you can see below) but I figured that I should touch briefly on these products that they sent me too!

These are the April Skin Turn Up Color Treatment; it is essentially like a temporary hair colour or toner, which adds a gloss to either prelightened (recommended) or natural hair. These are actually fairly common here in Australia, but I find that not many Korean brands actually have these sorts of colours – which is strange because I think a lot of people in Asia like to experiment with fashion trends! The main difference between this and the usual hair toner that I use is that it’s actually a treatment for you hair, so it leaves your locks feeling especially soft and healthy after use as well.

I currently have the orange colour in my hair and I’m waiting for it to wash out to test others – so I will be posting a review on that soon! Early Picker was wonderful enough to send me ten boxes of these; two of each colour variant, so I’ll be testing them all out and also experimenting with some colour mixing too!

Review: Early Picker (AprilSkin & Medicube)

Oh My Stellar Kbeauty Review Medicube Aprilskin Early Picker Review

I always love trying out new brands and products (especially if they’re viral, new releases) so you can imagine my excitement when I was approached by new online store Early Picker and offered a collaboration with them. They ended up letting me choose a selection of things from their website to review and, naturally, I couldn’t pass up my AprilSkin and the newly popular Medicube. In fact, the Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 and Red Concealer was personally recommended by them as well. They’re so friendly, responsive and great to work with.

So the concept of Early Picker is actually quite simple and you can get it from their business name – ‘early’ because they aim to carry new products quickly and ‘picker’ because they curate their stock selectively. They aim to carry the most popular, trending Korean products the quickest. In fact, I think that they have all of Medicube and AprilSkin’s range. At the moment, the number of brands that they carry is a bit limited but they have the good stuff, and I look forward to seeing them blossom into a larger business in the future. AprilSkin, Medicube and Glamd at their alliance brands, so you can bet that they will be the first place to go to for these brands.

In addition to their reasonable pricing, they also have a special feature called a timed sale. Basically,  they take their best selling products and sell them in a bulk buy set, which is discounted from the normal price and has free shipping. If you’re a hoarder (like myself) or if you have a bunch of friends to buy with (probably not like myself), then this would be a great opportunity for you.

Usually, their products also come with a sample pouch which I am told is a really important part of their service – it’s very generous (as you can get up to 12+ samples) and may also include full sized products as samples. Perfect for those of us who like to try new things. At the time of sending for my package, their packing service had run out of pouches and so send it to me without. I actually told them that it’s fine for me to go without but they’ve generously insisted and will be mailing the pouch and more products to me soon! I’ll be hauling the second package once I receive it.

So, moving on, I’ll be showing you guys everything that I got from Early Picker! I won’t be doing in depth with a review as I will have separate posts for everything, but so I was so excited that I just needed to do a haul post again.

Review: Magic Snow Cushion Pink #03 (AprilSkin)

StyleKorean Kbeauty Review Aprilskin BB Cushion White Magic Snow

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend! I’ve been spending some time working out finances for my upcoming trip to Korea and… well, accidentally on purpose making some purchases on Gmarket. For now though, I’m going to restrain myself from spending for the next three weeks until I’m abroad. This is all the more reason to really dive into my reviews and talk about the wonderful things I’ve been trying lately. So, without further ado, here’s my review of April Skin’s Magic Snow Cushion Pink!

This is one of their new cushions (with a super improved packaging and logo design) and comes in four colours, three of which are colour correcting bases. I was really excited to try this and received it at the same time as the original cushion from StyleKorean. Compared to the white cushion, I definitely think that this rose gold case is a lot prettier and the holographic lettering is really eye-catching.
