Review: SSIN Stealer (Unpretty Rapstar)

Ssin Stealer SSSINIM and Unpretty Rapstar Cosmetics Review

SSIN is one of my favourite Youtubers, seriously, and so when she released her first collaboration with Unpretty Rapstar, I was ridiculously excited but it was difficult to get my hands on the products because I don’t live in Korea and the brand was still relatively new at the time (I think so, anyway). I wanted to buy it while I was in Korea but I ended up leaving without it… and in retrospect, I sort of wonder why I did so. Since then though, I’ve been fawning over it online and it’s taken me so long but I finally got my hands on it. BB Cosmetic recently sent me multiple products from this entire line to write about. Regrettably, these products are now being discontinued and SSIN has moved onto her second collaboration (and this time, it’s with Too Cool For School) but I enjoyed these products so much that I wanted to write about them anyway. If they are an example of the sort of products we can expect from Unpretty Rapstar, I’ll be looking to trying out more things from their brand too. In Korea, they are sold at a fashion store called Wonderplace but, for those who are internationally based like myself, you can find these products at BB Cosmetic.

At the time of writing this, these products are still available on the website but only in extremely limited quantities, so get in fast if you’re wanting to get them. BB Cosmetic does free shipping for all orders (no order limit) and you can also get 8% off with my blogger’s code: QAL3F6ZA8YZ. They also have a great range of other things that you can check out too.

Review: Glow Ring Foundation (Son&Park)

Oh My Stellar Kbeauty Review Son and Park Glow Ring Foundation BB Cosmetic Review

I think that Son & Park might be my new obsession? At least, what I’ve tried from them has been really good and so I’m crazy keen to try everything else. Those who know me know that I have a thing for brands – when I love something (like CLIO, Laneige or my new found love for 3CE) then I will be pretty loyal to the brand. In a way, this makes me an ideal consumer because you can make a lot of money off of me. However, since I trust in a brand so much, it’s also really important to keep impressing me because my judgement tends to stay ingrained in me for a long time.

This product was only the second that I tried to Son & Park (the first being the Lip Cube) but I’m already pushed it onto my list of HG base/foundation make up products because it ticked off so many boxes for me. Of course, considering that this brand was created by two top celebrity make up artists – and it’s always great when the people in charge actually know make up and aren’t just business people – I had high expectations for them.

This is the Son & Park Glow Ring Foundation – which is the dewy version of their foundation sticks (the other is a fit version, which I haven’t tried before). It was a welcome change from all of the cushion foundations that I’ve been testing lately and it’s not a secret that I actually love balm type base products, though I’ve been a bit hesitant with foundation sticks. I was worried that this would be heavy or difficult to use but, instead, I’ve been totally obsessed with it and I reach for it every time I want a simple, natural look.

This product was sent to me for review by BB Cosmetic and you can get this one their website. Remember to also use my code for 8% off your purchase: QAL3F6ZA8YZ (I don’t make any money from you using this, but you do get a discount so why not?)

Review: Color Cube Air Tint Lip (Son & Park)

Son and Park Color Cube Air Tint Lip 05 Berry Rose BB Cosmetic

For this review, I’m writing about a lip colour that has seriously been rocking my world lately. I’m a big lover of deep berry colours and I find myself reaching for them repeatedly – regardless of what formula it is, or if I’m attempting to buy something new. Aside from how it matches my skin tone really well, I also love how a good berry tone can be really deep and matches well with gold and copper eye make up. Overall, it’s really my go to sort of look. I’ve been reaching for this product a lot since I first got it; the colour completely wowed me and I knew that I would be attached to it regardless.

I recieved this product from BB Cosmetic to review and it was sort of a pleasant surprise because I wasn’t actually expecting to get this – but they seemed to almost read my mind and sent me the exact shade that I would be fawning over. This one of the Air Tint Lip Cube from Son & Park. This brand is headed by two Korean celebrity make up artists Son Daek Shik and Park Tae Yun (hence the brand name) and their beauty water is crazy raved about and is basically a kbeauty cult product.

Although I haven’t tried anything from Son & Park before (nope, not even the beauty water), I do have high expectations for their products! BB Cosmetic sent me a couple of their things to test out and I’ll be reviewing this one first up. Ready? Let’s go.

Review: Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Shadow Duo (Touch in Sol)

Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil and Glitter Shadow Duo BB Cosmetic Review Margaret Adelio Lottie

I first saw these shadow duos on Youtube and, being a bit fan of shimmer and glitter myself, I really wanted to try them. The one hesitation that I had, however, is that I haven’t had very good experiences with liquid eyeshadows in the past – those that I’ve tried have been difficult to blend, crease very easily and look really messy when applied (maybe I just don’t have that magic skill). When BB Cosmetic approached me about reviewing this though, I just couldn’t say no.

These eyeshadow duos come in five original colours –  Margaret (champagne), Eldora (gold), Talia (silver), Adelio (burgundy) and Lottie (plum). There are also an additional five colours, but I’m unsure if these were released later as I don’t see them around as much – Lala, Irina, Sonia, Trudy and Linda. These seem to be more colourful shades, while the originals are more wearable, metallic colours.

According to the website, “these dual eye shadows offers rich, metallic pigment with a foil finish in one swipe.” The metallic pigment is the liquid eyeshadow while, on the other side, you have your matching glitter pigment. I tested these out of a few different occasions and – seriously – I love them. I’m very tempted to buy the other shades as well.

Review: Red Recipe Lip Colour (3CE)

BB Cosmetic 3CE 3 Concept Eyes Stylenanda Red Recipe Lipstick Kbeauty Review

I was really hoping to post the video for this at the same time as this post but, with this sudden cough that’s struck me – and the lung that is no doubt threatening to be coughed up – I’m not sure if I’m particularly up for that one right now. However, it is definitely coming up and I will be updating this post once it is!

Launching right into the review, these are three of the new lipsticks from the 3CE Red Recipe collection. I was super excited when this new range come out because I’m a lover and a believer of the classic red lip. Their last Mood Recipe collection was also really popular but, truth be told, I’ve been getting quite tired of seeing browns everywhere and I was so glad for a change.

The 3CE Red Recipe collection comes with five lipsticks (in both matte and original finishes), two red blushes (which I am itching to get my hands on) and three nail polishes. For this review, I’ll be talking about three shades of the lipsticks: Moon, Fig and Ruby Tuesday. These are all bright but also very wearable shades with subtle differences, and all three of them can easily transition from work, date to evening make up.

I received these products to review from BB Cosmetic, so feel free to check out their website if you’re interested in these products. They stock all five shades of the lipsticks and both of the blushes. You can also get 8% off with my code (QAL3F6ZA8YZ), get 10% credit back by posting an SNS review and enjoy free shipping on all orders!

Review: Liquid Lip Color (3CE)

3CE Stylenanda Liquid Lip Color Review Be Dashed Lazy Low Down Charmed

I’m finally writing the review for these! To be honest, I’m not sure why it had taken me so long because I’ve been using these since I first got them (and formed an opinion quite quickly) but I guess that I’ve been putting it off while getting so stuck into my new colourpop lipsticks. Alas, I’ve finally decided to write this review now because I only have a week until I head off to Japan for three weeks and, after that, I’m expecting that I will have some Japanese products to review and more kbeauty products coming in the mail as well! Basically, it’s going to get busy on here, and I’m excited.

Moving on, this is my review on 3CE’s Liquid Lip Color. I picked up a few of these when I was in Korea split over two or three visits. I actually thought that I only had two of the colours but was surprised to find out that I bought four – this always happens to me. Either way, I was totally suckered in by the cute packaging and the super opaque colours. This was one of the first liquid lipsticks that I had used since this became a trend (I first used matte liquid lipsticks – on performances – when I was maybe thirteen) so I’ve since been comparing it to a few other formulas that I’ve tried.

Review: Ampoule Moisture Cushion (Innisfree)

Innisfree Ampoule Moisture Cushion N21 Review

This Innisfree Ampoule Moisture Cushion was, in a way, one of the fastest purchases of my life. However, it also took the longest because I ended up in store for another hour or so shopping and buying everything else (and I bought a lot there… which I completely blame on Sophia and her bad influence). For this reason, I’m actually somewhat surprised that it took me to long to write this review. It has been sitting in my drafts since last year October and, while I had already made up my mind and gathered my thoughts about this product, it seemed that I was a bit lazy about getting it all down in post form. Well, what else is new? Haha.

Anyway! So this is a BB cushion that Sophia recommended to me while I was in Korea. This is the product that I used alongside my IOPE for the entire time was I was in Korea – it was cold, windy and my skin was drying out like a desert. I was in serious need for something really hydrating and, being a big fan of the dewy finish, I naturally gravitated to this cushion. All it took was one swatch on my hand and I told the store assistant to gather it up for me.

Review: Age Defense Essential Softener (Etude House)

bb cosmetic review kbeauty korean makeup skincare etude house age defense defence essential softener

I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for a lot longer than I thought I would but that just means that I took my time in testing it. But, that being said, this is going to be a rather brief and straight to the point review from me on the Etude House Age Defence Essential Softener.

This is a sample product that I received from BB Cosmetic ages ago but I hadn’t reviewed it yet because I was distracted by all of the other products that I wanted to try. I was also a little bit stumped by how I could possibly give a proper critique on an anti-aging product when, for me, my main use for it would be prevention – however, I did figure it out!

So, without any further delay, let’s go onto the review:

Review: Power Ringer Mask Pack (Elizavecca)

Elizavecca Sheet Mask Power Ringer Review

These masks are definitely going to take me a while to get through (because I seldom have the time for daily masking) so I thought that I would post up this review first with the overall comments before gradually adding in notes for each individual mask. Great idea, right?

Anyway, the first thing I want to say is Happy New Year! This one is going to be my first review of the year and I’m pretty happy that it’s for an Elizavecca product – their brand made quite a splash in 2016 and I’m hoping that they become even more popular in the year to come. It’s great watching some of these more off-beat or independent brands thrive in an industry as saturated as kbeauty.

For these masks, I received them from BB Cosmetic when I was in Korea last year (that is strange to say) and they are meant to be used as daily masks, I believe – though I will be spreading them out. They all use different ingredients to target different things, though the description is a little difficult to understand. Selling in a pack of ten, you’re meant to be able to pick and choose which mask(s) to using during the week to customise your skincare.

Review: Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack (Innisfree)

Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack

Honestly, I did not walk into Innisfree with the intention of buying much and yet, the longer I spent in the store, the more and more I found I wanted to try new products. I start off thinking that I would buy a large size of the volcanic clay mask (which I did) and ended up with an entire basket full – in fact, I think I still ended up spending the most out of three of us and I didn’t usually use many of Innisfree products. In the end, I realised that I’m simply a sucker for anything that feels hydrating and smells good. I’m easily bought over.

This one is a sleeping pack that was recommended to me by a sales lady in Edae (she was the best, to be honest). Initially, I wasn’t planning on buying it because I felt that the wine scent was too strong but, after around ten minutes, I realised that I was addicted to smelling it. I ended up purchasing both the sleeping pack and the peeling gel; they were very affordable too.

After some (very fun) testing, I’m now ready to do the review! So read on to find out my thoughts.
