Review: Mist Toner (Pyunkang Yul)

pyunkangyul mist toner skincare stylekorean kbeauty review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I have so many bottles of mists at home (some new and some half way through) but I love them so much that I’m always keen to try out new ones – and when I saw this Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner, I knew that this would be perfect for me! This is a skin toner and I’m all for putting any water type product into a spray bottle.

StyleKorean sent me this to review and, so far, I’ve used it for just over a week at a minimum of twice a day. The bottle that I have is a 100mL bottle (which you can buy for USD$14.40) – this is the smaller size which is great if you just want to test it out first or if you’re after a travel size. Otherwise, there is also a 200mL bottle which is a better deal at USD$21.60 and would be best to keep at home.

So this review is going to be fairly straight forward but I do want to do a proper introduction to the Pyunkang Yul brand so… read on and get yourself ready!

Review: Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Shadow Duo (Touch in Sol)

Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil and Glitter Shadow Duo BB Cosmetic Review Margaret Adelio Lottie

I first saw these shadow duos on Youtube and, being a bit fan of shimmer and glitter myself, I really wanted to try them. The one hesitation that I had, however, is that I haven’t had very good experiences with liquid eyeshadows in the past – those that I’ve tried have been difficult to blend, crease very easily and look really messy when applied (maybe I just don’t have that magic skill). When BB Cosmetic approached me about reviewing this though, I just couldn’t say no.

These eyeshadow duos come in five original colours –  Margaret (champagne), Eldora (gold), Talia (silver), Adelio (burgundy) and Lottie (plum). There are also an additional five colours, but I’m unsure if these were released later as I don’t see them around as much – Lala, Irina, Sonia, Trudy and Linda. These seem to be more colourful shades, while the originals are more wearable, metallic colours.

According to the website, “these dual eye shadows offers rich, metallic pigment with a foil finish in one swipe.” The metallic pigment is the liquid eyeshadow while, on the other side, you have your matching glitter pigment. I tested these out of a few different occasions and – seriously – I love them. I’m very tempted to buy the other shades as well.

Review: Wine Eyeshadow Palette (Labiotte)

StyleKorean Kbeauty Chateau Labioette Wine Eyeshadow Palette Review

We all love eyeshadow. Well, correction: I love eyeshadow. I personally own quite a lot of different formulas, colours and finishes. My palettes are stacked up and my single shadows (those which haven’t been depotted) have a serious need for some sorting. When I first started getting into make up, I was more into buying single shadows than anything because I felt that I didn’t need all of the colours in a palette. However, will time going by, I’ve found that these sets are a lot easier to keep around and – in addition – one should contain a well considered and varied selection that can create a good range of looks. At the moment, these are the characteristics that I look for when I’m using a palette:

  • Flexible colour/formula range
  • Soft and blend-able formula
  • Strong pigmentation
  • No creasing or fading

Since I do wear eyeshadow so often, there have been a few that I’ve really loved but also many that I don’t vote so well. For this current one, the Wine Eyeshadow Palette with Labiotte – a Korean brand that has gotten really popular recently for their wine themed packaging and formulas, I went into testing with the above points in mind and found that they have both strengths and weaknesses which would make it most suitable for those who like soft, Asian inspired make up looks. Interested? Read on!

I received this palette from StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These cost you no money to use but go towards supporting Oh My Stellar.

Review: Bunny Y10 Violet (Klenspop)

Klenspop Bunny Color Y10 Violet review

It’s another Klenspop review! I love doing these so much because I always really love the lenses that they send me and I have such a fun time pairing it up with different make up looks. For today, I’ll be reviewing the Bunny Y10 Violet, which is a pretty black rimmed, purple lens that I matched with a very light, shimmery make up look.

These are the first purple lenses that I’ve used so I was pretty interested to see how they would look. Overall, I think that these are really comfortable and a good quality – just like everything else I’ve tried from them. Read on for the review! I’ll be a bit brief of my packaging, as this is the smaller PR box, but you can check out all of my other reviews for more photos – these lenses usually come with a free lens case and tweezers too!

Review: Magic Snow Cushion Pink #03 (AprilSkin)

StyleKorean Kbeauty Review Aprilskin BB Cushion White Magic Snow

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend! I’ve been spending some time working out finances for my upcoming trip to Korea and… well, accidentally on purpose making some purchases on Gmarket. For now though, I’m going to restrain myself from spending for the next three weeks until I’m abroad. This is all the more reason to really dive into my reviews and talk about the wonderful things I’ve been trying lately. So, without further ado, here’s my review of April Skin’s Magic Snow Cushion Pink!

This is one of their new cushions (with a super improved packaging and logo design) and comes in four colours, three of which are colour correcting bases. I was really excited to try this and received it at the same time as the original cushion from StyleKorean. Compared to the white cushion, I definitely think that this rose gold case is a lot prettier and the holographic lettering is really eye-catching.

Review: Full Cover Concealer (Aritaum)

Aritaum Full Cover Concealor Stick KollectionK Kbeauty Review

Concealer can either make or break your base make up and, honestly, I seldom get it right. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect concealer product for me and, at the moment, pretty much swear by Clio’s Kill Cover. It has been the only product that could simultaneously give me super high coverage (because I am a night owl and definitely need it) while not making my skin look super dry and aged. However, just because I found one thing that works pretty well, doesn’t mean I’m giving up on it all!

KollectionK sent me the following product for review and I was pretty excited to try it out. My friend Sophia uses the pot version of Aritaum’s Full Cover concealer, so I had high hopes for this. I chose to review the stick version instead though, as I find it a lot handier to carry around in my bag. I’ve used MAC’s studio sculpt pot concealer before, which had pretty good coverage, but felt it didn’t suit my on-the-go and hurry-up-you’re-late lifestyle very well.

Review: Perfect Fill Up (La’dor)

Beautynetkorea Kbeauty Review Lador Perfect Fill Up

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! I’m sure that a lot of people are busy celebrating and on holidays – which I am unfortunately not because we don’t really have festivities here in Australia. However, it is a good time to step back from a lot of the work and spend time with your family, so this review is going to be short, sweet and straight to the point.

Today, I’m looking at La’dor’s hair treatment – Perfect Fill Up – that was sent to me for review by BeautyNetKorea. This is a super affordable and simple product that is said to repair damaged hair and, in a few repeated uses, even return your hair to its natural condition. Although my hair has been bleached and lightened a couple of times (colours in the past year from ranged from brown, pink, khaki brown (a personal favourite) and my accidental case of green), it isn’t in its worst condition.

However, it is still a far cry from my original hair – the strands have become thinner, more prone to kinks and easier to snap. I have tried out the following hair treatment and definitely saw results though I haven’t used it enough to judge whether it is strong enough to completely fix my hair.

If you’re interested in trying to product, just go to BeautyNetKorea‘s website. These tubes are really affordable and you only need one (short hair can also use half a bottle) for each application. They can be bought in sets of seven for USD $10.44 or USD$2.75 each.

Review: Peri’s Ink Drop BB Cream (Peripera)

Peripera Clio Peri's Ink Pure Ivory KollectionK Kbeauty Review

Please note that this post uses affiliate links, but I have not been paid to write this post. Any money made from affiliate links is invested back into the maintenance and updating content for this blog.

I am a massive fan of Clio, as people are well aware, and one of their other brands is Peripera. Although I am not a hundred percent certain whether Peripera is a sub-brand or similar, I do know that they both have the same strengths in staying power and pigmentation. I’ve been obsessed with the Peri’s Ink lip tints since trying them over in Korea so I was super excited when they actually came out with a Peri’s Ink Drop BB Cream!

This product comes in the very familiar Peri’s Ink packaging, though slightly altered for the new product, and contains SPF30 PA++. It’s a little bit less than what I would usually use but, since I’ve now developed the good habit of using sunscreen, I can look past that.

If you’re interested in getting this product, or some others, check out KollectionK. They were so nice to send me a couple of products to review and I have good thoughts towards their service as well – clean shopping cart, easy to search products and a useful wishlist function. Since my first review, they have also launched a part of their website called Koncierge – a personal shopping service, for when you’re looking for products that you can’t find on their website (or elsewhere).

Review: Bunny 3Color Green (Klenspop)

Klenspop bunny 3 color green review

I am officially addicted to wearing coloured circle lenses and, honestly, can’t imagine how I’ve gone without them for so long! I love that they give you overall look a nice pop and I think that they really tie an outfit together. Subtle circle lenses are good for more casual or formal events, while striking and eye-catching colours and designs are perfect for fun days out or parties.

In lenses, I usually pay particular attention to the comfort, vibrancy of the colour (how it turns out on my super dark eyes), how well they blend into my natural colour and what sort of make up I think it suits best. For my review for theses pretty, green lenses from Klenspop, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and show how I would wear these paired with a brighter, eye-catching make up look!

Unboxing and Haul: KollectionK

KollectionK Kbeauty Review

Please note that this post uses affiliate links, but I have not been paid to write this post. Any money made from affiliate links is invested back into the maintenance and updating content for this blog.

To be honest, I had sincerely thought that this post was already made! Only, I just realised that the photos were sitting in my drafts and I’ve been testing these products and thinking up the review before even doing the haul post. Aren’t I silly? Anyway, today is just one of those days – it’s rainy here in Sydney, work is rather slow and not very much is happening. As a pick me up, I figured that it would be best to do this post and look at all these lovely things that KollectionK had sent me to review! Most of these are actually things that I chose myself so I’ll talk about why I was interested in them too.

KollectionK Kbeauty Haul Review

If you’re interested in checking out KollectionK, click the link above. Although their prices are a little higher than the other stores I’ve visited, they also have one of the best designed and most user friendly stores that I have seen for kbeauty.

While I was shopping on their site, I liked to go through everything and make a wish list, which I would then go through again. If there are some items on your wishlist that are out of stock, then don’t worry about that either! KollectionK restocks very often and will even send you an email to let you know. Overall, I really love their website and think their service is good too!

Let’s move onto what I recieved!
