Review: Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Gel (Hanyul)

BONIIK Kbeauty Review Hanyul Pure Artemisa Watery Calming Gel

This product was gifted to me for review purposes. I was not paid for this post and affiliate links are not used in this post.

If you haven’t heard of Hanyul before, then I need you to drop everything because I recently tried out my first product from the brand and I am actually in love. Yes – in love. I’ve been raving about this for quite a while on Instagram and I’m not sure if people understand how much I enjoy this product, so I knew that I had to write this review to talk about.

I received the Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Gel from BONIIK to try out but, actually, it was one that I chose myself after a skin consultation and testing out a bunch of different products. I told them about my combination skin that liked to get oily during the afternoon, and also about how rushed I am for time in the morning. They recommended for me to try out a more lightweight gel-type moisturiser and, after testing out a lot of products, this is the one that I was really keen to take home!

This product is currently selling for AUD$49 and, if you’d like to get your hands on this product, then check out the BONIIK website. If you are a Sydney-sider like myself, you can also drop into their stores at Westfield Sydney or World Square (Sydney CBD). Remember that you can use my code online and offline for 15% off your purchase too – valid until the end of March – OHMYSTELLAR15

So, let’s get right into this review!

Review: Cellus Skincare Range (Lagom)

Lagom Kbeauty BB Cosmetics Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that there is an affiliate code advertised. The small profits go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

When BB Cosmetic approached me to collaborate again, I asked them about any new brands that they might be bringing in and wanting me to try out. They were quick to recommend Lagom, which is actually a very new name to me – in fact, I hadn’t even heard about them before this. They are a relatively new addition to the BB Cosmetic offerings and, from what I can see, are an indie kbeauty brand that focuses a lot on whitening/brightening skincare products – which are totally down my alley.

The brand was launched by Kowon, a very experienced celebrity make up artist from Korea. Although her expertise is in cosmetics, her work in the industry made her realise that the most important thing is to have healthy, hydrated and radiant skin. She worked together with a team of scientists to formulate this brand. All of Lagom products are formulated with their hero ingredient, DermaFlux, which is clinically proven to delivery hydration deep into the skin cells (rather than just the outmost skin barrier).

For me to test out of some their range, BB Cosmetic was generous enough to send through a selection of products (which I felt would work best in my routine) for me to try out and I have to say that I’ve been loving these products! They’re effective but simple to use, and I have essentially replaced a chunk of my routine with Lagom. My skin is absolutely loving it, so let me talk to you about all of these products!

In this review, I’ll be talking about the Cellus Mist Toner, Cellus Mild Moisture Cream and the Cellus White Moisture Cream. I’ve been using all three of these products daily so I’ll go in depth into the product, my experiences and my personal recommendations for when I work this into your routine.

If you want to get this, check out BB Cosmetic. They offer free shipping worldwide with no minimum purchase and you can also use my affiliate code for 5% off: QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Diary: BONIIK – Your K-beauty Destination

BONIIK Sydney Kbeauty Shopping

This product was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid for this post and I do not make any profits from the discount code advertised. Affiliate links are not used.

I first collaborated with BONIIK last year when they were a relatively new store in Australia, and wanted to introduce their brand to a bunch of us beauty bloggers. I’m really happy to say that I will be working with them again in the year of 2019 and, just before I left for Vietnam, I was invited to visit their new store at World Square (Sydney CBD) where I discussed with them my ambitions as a beauty content creator, my skin type and also got recommendations of new products to try out.

So, in this post, I’m going to be writing about the in-store experience for BONIIK. They have two stores in Sydney where you can visit yourself to talk with their store assistants for skin recommendations, or you can also shop them online at BONIIK.com

Best of all though, is that they’ve actually give me a discount code to share with everyone! Until the end of March, you can get 15% off all purchases at both their physical stores or online just by showing my code – OHMYSTELLAR15

So, lets get into this post! I can’t wait to show you all of the photos I took of their store because it’s actual eye candy to see all of these walls of glorious kbeauty.

Unboxing: Self Aesthetic Magazine (G9Skin)

G9Skin Self Aesthetic Magazine Kbeauty Skincare Mask Set

This product was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid for this post and affiliate links are not used in this post.

It has been a while since I last tried something from G9Skin! They were still a relatively new brand back then and, from what I could see, searching for their footing in the kbeauty industry. Recently though, I think that they’ve been doing a bit of a rebranding and also pushing some new products. Just a few days ago, they sent me their new Self Aesthetics Magazine, which is a collection of their masks – they are also available for purchase individually, but this set is a good way to try everything out.

There is a lot in this set so I wanted to write a bit of an unboxing post (which I haven’t done much recently). Although this is technically just one product, I’ll be taking you through each individual mask in detail so you can decide whether buying the Self Aesthetics Magazine is worth it for you, or if it’s better to get some individual pieces.

The full kit is available on YesStyle for AUD$43.65 or you can also buy them in individual packs of 5 (which I will also link down below).

So, let’s get right into it!

Review: Hydrogel Very Simple Pack (Cosrx)

COSRX Hydrogel Very Simple Pack BB Cosmetics Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that there is an affiliate code advertised. The small profits go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I personally love hydrogel masks but the problem is that they tend to be a lot more expensive than a standard sheet mask so I can only save them for special occasions. However, when I came across this product I knew that COSRX has found that gap in our market and found a perfect way to fill it – this is the Hydrogel Very Simple Pack. It comes in a tub of 60, which makes it a much more affordable option in comparison to individual masks.

COSRX is a very popular kbeauty brand, though I find that most of their hype is within the actual beauty community (they don’t have any stand alone stores in Korea but rather sell inside of Watsons – the drug store). They are very well known for their acne care products, in particular their acne pads, patches and pore clearing toner. I have used a handful of their products in the past and enjoyed them but hadn’t been fully blown away yet. However, this is fast becoming a recent favourite of mine!

I also believe that this was developed in collaboration with kbeauty blogger Hanbyul but there isn’t too much information about this (I used to be an avid watcher of her videos but not so much anymore, so I’m not up to date).

I recieved this from BB Cosmetic to review and this tub is selling for USD$17.65 (discounted from USD$26) – and they also offer free shipping worldwide with no minimum purchase. Check out their website if you’re keen to get this. You can also use my affiliate code for 5% off: QAL3F6ZA8YZ

So, let’s get into this review!

Review: Vita Duo Cream (Neogen)

Neogen Vita Duo Cream

This product was sent to me by Neogen for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that some affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

There are only a handful of kbeauty youtubers that I watch now but I have actually watched a couple of videos from Joan Kim (@JoanKeem) in the past – She is actually the one who introduced me to the Neogen brand! It seems so appropriate that she is now collaborating with them.

This is the Neogen Vita Duo Cream, which she also helped to develop and design (packaging wise). Since I’m not a massive fan of hers, my review of this product is purely based on the formula and it’s role in my skincare routine – and I genuinely love this product! I love the concept of the dual cream, which makes it perfect for travel, and the formulation of it also works really nicely with my skin type. This is a product designed to give your complexion the necessary hydration throughout the day, as well as to provide brightening and soothing benefits (depending on which you use).

This product is currently available on NudieGlow for AUD$52 (down from AUD$55) or on StyleKorean for USD$32 – so you can see which store works best with your home currency. Alternatively, you can shop it directly from Neogen’s Amazon store.

I’ve been testing this out twice a day since I got it, and it’s safe to say that I’m very confident with this write up now. So, let’s get right into this review.

New Release: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask at Mecca Maxima

Summer Fridays at Mecca New Release

Earlier in the month, Mecca Maxima announced the launch of a new brand to their stores – Summer Fridays! This has been a much hyped product launch from a relatively new brand – I’ve been seeing their products all over Instagram and they’re touted as the new game-changers in the beauty industry. Their products are targeted to the jet-setters and those who live busy lifestyles, and need skincare that had an immediate effect on tired and dull complexions.

For this month, Mecca Maxima started out with the launch of their Jet Lag Mask (and there are rumours online that they will be following up with the Overtime Mask early next year). I personally haven’t had the opportunity to try this product yet, but I wanted to share some information so you can decide for yourself if this is something for you!

Dear Santa: Christmas Wishlist (Althea)

Althea Angels Christmas Wishlist

This post is sponsored by Althea but all chosen products and opinions expressed are my own. Affiliate links are not used in this post.

So we are at a point where Christmas is really close now and I have yet to really put together a list of things I want – partly because I don’t receive Christmas presents anyway (I’m an adult apparently) and also because I generally buy myself things I want rather than waiting for others to spoil me.

That all being said, I was approached by Althea to put together a short list of 10 things that would be on my Christmas Wishlist and, especially since I have been a bit absent from the k-beauty scene lately, this wasn’t hard to put together at all! There have been a bunch of super exciting releases and holiday packs that I’d missed – and now that means I need to get them.

So, click on to check out everything on my Althea Christmas Wishlist and, if you want to check them out – definitely do so! They carry a great range and also have their own brand (from which I highly recommend their Petal Velvet Powder and Petal Velvet Sunaway)

Review & Spotlight: Soroci (Available at Style Story)

Sorochi Morning Drizzle Mist Calming and Waterdrop Cream Kbeauty Review Style Story Australia

These products were provided to me by Style Story for my honest review. Affiliate links are not used in this post.

It’d been a while since I tried out some new Korean skincare (as I’ve mostly been sticking with what works to try and re-balance my skin breakouts) but I’ve been using products from Soroci since I had them sent to me and, finally, I feel like I’m ready to write this post! I’ll be doing a quick review on all three of these new releases but, since they are also a relatively new indie brand, I wanted to write this as an introduction.

This brand launched at Style Story earlier this year and they sent the products to me a few weeks ago to get my impressions and honest opinion. As I was testing these products, I worked them into my current skincare routine (which is highly simplified because of my use of acids) and also used them according to the recommendations.

Essentially, I used their toner daily, and then either cream depending on the time of the day and my skin needs. Most of my skincare routine had been replaced with Soroci these past weeks and, while they don’t have dramatic results, I find that their products are really nice and gentle. They also combined well with my acids (mostly the Alpha-H Liquid Gold), which is definitely a plus.

So, I’ll be showing you three products from their Morning Drizzle line – the Morning Drizzle Bucket MistMorning Drizzle Waterdrop Cream and the Morning Drizzle Calming Cream. So, let’s jump right into it!

New Release & Review: Milk Peel Cream Mask (Althea)

Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask Kbeauty Review

These products were provided to me by Althea for my honest review. Affiliate links are not used in this post.

The Althea Exclusive range has been growing lately and I’m really lucky to get a first look at a lot of them. Many of the products I’ve tried have been centred around floral ingredients (such as the Petal Velvet Powder which I love), so I think that this milk-based formula is actually totally new to their range. I want to show you a new release called the Milk Peel Cream Mask which is a clay-type foam/whipped mask that promises to revitalise and hydrate skin.

I haven’t been using a lot of wash off masks lately, especially not clay masks, because I have been focusing more on cleansing my skin and then healing my break outs (via oil rebalancing). I was pretty keen to try this just because it is milk themed though – I have used milk based products in the past and really liked them. This product did surprise me though, in that it was not what I expected it to be.

This was released around two weeks ago and is now available at Althea for USD$9 – you can also get free shipping on all of the Althea Exclusive products with the code PBSHIP.

So, I’ll cut this rambling short and let’s just right into this.
