I have had people positively rave to me about Skinfood and, from my experience with their skincare products, they are really great at what they do. However, I have only properly tried one cosmetic product from them and swatched a bunch of things in-store and… well, it’s unfortunate that I feel cosmetics really aren’t in their forte. Regardless, I do like to keep giving brands second, third and fourth chances since new products and formulas are always being released – especially in an industry as fast-paced and competitive as Korean beauty. When Q-Depot contacted me recently to offer to send me another product to try out, I very promptly said yes and… well, I have mixed feelings about this.
This is the White Grape Fresh Foundation from Skinfood, and it contains green grape extract. Grapes are considered an ‘anti-aging’ fruit because they have a lot of anti-oxidants, vitamin C and green grapes specifically are said to help speed up cell renewal processes (source). I’m not completely sure of how many of these benefits you will get from this foundation, since there isn’t much information I can find online, but it’s nice to know! Skinfood is general is known to use a lot of natural, skin benefiting ingredients and they also make the Black Sugar Honey Mask which I reviewed for Q-Depot before and still love!

Well, hello everyone! It’s getting close to the beginning of my Japan Trip (and, amazingly I still haven’t blogged by Korea trip… but I will soon, I promise) and that means that my posts are going to be quite slow for a few weeks. I’ll be very active on Instagram though, so you can follow me there. In the meantime, I’m going to use the next few days to get up to date on some of these reviews, the first of which is going to be the Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off from Skinfood. This is really similar to the Black Sugar Mask that I usually use, which is a physical exfoliator and actually quite popular amongst a lot of us bloggers. That mask is quite harsh and, in order to soften it, a lot of people also add water to the formula. Personally, I quite like having a tough scrub now and then but, for those with more sensitive skin (or a more sensible approach to skincare), this honey alternative may be just for you.
This was sent to me for review from Q-Depot, an online Korean cosmetics store that stocks a good range of road shop and higher end brands (such as Sulwhasoo, O Hui, History of Whoo). Remember to check them out on the way (and get to the end of this post for 10% off your first order)! Let’s start!

To be honest, I had sincerely thought that this post was already made! Only, I just realised that the photos were sitting in my drafts and I’ve been testing these products and thinking up the review before even doing the haul post. Aren’t I silly? Anyway, today is just one of those days – it’s rainy here in Sydney, work is rather slow and not very much is happening. As a pick me up, I figured that it would be best to do this post and look at all these lovely things that KollectionK had sent me to review! Most of these are actually things that I chose myself so I’ll talk about why I was interested in them too.
If you’re interested in checking out KollectionK, click the link above. Although their prices are a little higher than the other stores I’ve visited, they also have one of the best designed and most user friendly stores that I have seen for kbeauty.
While I was shopping on their site, I liked to go through everything and make a wish list, which I would then go through again. If there are some items on your wishlist that are out of stock, then don’t worry about that either! KollectionK restocks very often and will even send you an email to let you know. Overall, I really love their website and think their service is good too!
Let’s move onto what I recieved!
