I’m clearly a sucker for pretty, pink packaging so when Bobbi Brown Cosmetics announced their new Glowing Pink Collection – I was all over it. Inspired by their iconic highlighter (the Pink Glow), this collection features both re-packaged and new products in limited edition packaging. It’s perfect for collectors or people like me, who have never used Pink Glow before but can’t find a better excuse to do so than a pink compact! (haha)
Read on for product information, pricing and also some links on where you can get your hands on these. Leave a comment below if you end up picking something up, but make sure to do it ASAP because things are selling out already!
The Bobbi Brown best-seller is now available in limited edition packaging. With the use of microfine pearls and a clear base, this formula diffuses light for a translucent, lit from within glow. The formula is describes as a fusion of gel and powder, with a cushiony feel that applies smooth and doesn’t accent pores or texture.
If you’re like me and haven’t used the Pink Glow Highlighter before, or perhaps have such a big collection that you don’t actually need a full size, Bobbi Brown have also released the mini size highlighter in new packaging.
This is exactly half of the full size and, while you’re paying around AUD$6 more in comparison, I think it’s a pretty decent deal!
A new release for this collection, the liquid highlighter is inspired by the original Pink Glow highlighter and gives the same fresh, rosy glow with a lustrous sheen. The formula is weightless, blendable and easy to apply with a liquid formula that can be used beneath foundation or mixed in for a dewy glow. The packaging is portable for on the go and also features an easy to use pump.
Fans of the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint will love this because their Bare Pink shade has been released in the (super pretty) pink and gold packaging too! I’m a hug fan of their lip tint formula and, since they are essentially like lip balms, I can easily justify owning multiple.
Described as lightweight, sheer and ultra-moisturising, this Extra Lip Tint has the benefits of a balm with a subtle pink stain for that hint of colour. It also contains a blend of six natural oils to moisturise lips and also reduce the look of fine, dry lines.
And, of course, the one that everyone is the most excited about – and sold out quickest on the Bobbi Brown website! This eyeshadow quad contains four rosy, multi-dimensional shades inspired by the highlighting powder. It claims to be suitable for both day and night looks with light-reflective, pigment-rich shadows.
The four shades, as seen below (taken from the Bobbi Brown website) are Opal, Sunstone, Pink Pearl and Metal Rose. Although this also claims to suit all skin tones, I feel that these shades will work best on fair to medium-light skin tones, due to the frosty metallic finishes.
Are you picking up anything from this new Bobbi Brown collection? I’ve totally got my eyes on that shadow palette and the highlighter – I haven’t tried the Pink Glow before so it would be a totally justifiable purchase… right? Haha!
