Review: Face Halo Original

This product was sent to me for review purposes.

I actually can’t believe how long it’s taken for me to get on board with the Face Halo Makeup Removers, but I’m never going back! Face Halo launched back in 2017 and their makeup removers were so innovative and completely new to the market. In a way, I feel like their introduced a whole new product category and have since triggered a plethora of copies.

Their makeup removers are essentially a sustainable alternative to makeup wipes so are perfect for people who are environmentally conscious or those who like to remove their makeup as soon as they get home, but maybe save the full cleansing routine for later in the night.

All of these Face Halo Makeup Removers are reusable and washable, so a single pack is going to last a significant amount of time. Aside from the Face Halo Original (which retails for AUD$30 for a pack of three), they also have the Face Halo Pro, Face Halo X, Face Halo Body Exfoliator and some Accessory Packs!

All of these are available on their official website (which has free shipping Australia-wide), or you can also check out AdoreBeauty and BeautyBay. But before all that – let’s get into this review!

Review: Neogen

Neogen StyleKorean Try me Review Me Kbeauty Skincare

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

When it comes to Korean skincare, I definitely think that Neogen is one of the top household names. The company has a number of brands under their umbrella but Neogen Dermalogy seems to be the main one that’s attributed to them. They consider themselves a “beauty innovator with the latest dermaceutical research and innovations,” carrying a number of different lines to cater for various skin concerns.

I would say that they are best known for their Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Pads, which is a product that went absolutely viral a few years ago. I’ve also used their Real Fresh Foam Cleanser quite a few times and often recommend it to people! Overall, my experience with the brand is largely positive, with only a few products that were a pass for me.

For this brand spotlight, I’m going to be highlighting a small selection from their range: the Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser, Real Fresh Cleansing Stick, Real Ferment Micro Essence, Real Ferment Micro Serum and the A-Clear Soothing Spot Patch. Most of these products aren’t absolutely new to me (I’ve usually used something from the range before or tested it out a few years ago) so I had high expectations for everything!

Everything in this review is available at StyleKorean so check them out if you’re looking to get anything from Neogen – they carry a pretty large variety of their products. I would especially recommend the Peeling Pads and the Foam Cleanser, as they are my personal favourites.

So, let’s get into this!

New Release: Fig Collection (I’m From)

I'm From Fig Boosting Essence Cleansing Balm and Scrub Mask Review

When it comes to skincare, using fruit as the key ingredient isn’t anything new – especially within kbeauty. Sometimes it’s more to do with the scent but, most of the time, it has a lot to do with that fruits’ natural chemicals and benefits. A great example, and the most well known, would be with citrus and Vitamin C. In the end, all fruits are different and you can find a plethora of different skin concerns that can be treated with these formulations.

This new release from I’m From uses Fig, which I’ve never actually eaten before let alone seen in skincare. Because of this, I went into testing without any specific expectations but I was pleasantly surprised! The collection includes the Fig Boosting Essence, Fig Cleansing Balm and the Fig Scrub Mask. It’s available on the Wishtrend website with prices ranging from USD$30-$35.

Since these are a new release, I’ve only used them for about a week or two so the below are mostly my initial thoughts on the products. However, I definitely have my favourites already! At the moment, this range is on sale for an introductory 10% off (limited time only), as well as my code for a special discount: STELLA15 (until May 31st CST)

If you’d like to pick up any of these or explore the I’m From brand, hop on over to the Wishtrend website. Before that though – lets check out the new Fig Collection!

Review: AC Collection (COSRX)

COSRX AC Collection Full Review Kbeauty Stylekorean Try Me Review Me

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

When it comes to keeping my break outs at bay, there is nothing that I trust more than the COSRX AC Collection! I’ve used quite a few products from their brand before but I have to say that I think this line is their best yet – or at the very least, it’s the one that works the best for my skin. In the past, I have used their Calming Liquid Mild and Blemish Spot Clearing Serum with great results and I was really excited to now have the chance to test out (almost) the entire line!

This was sent to me by StyleKorean as part of their Try Me Review Me series. So far, I have only tested out the products for approximately a week (except the two that I’ve already used) so the below are some initial thoughts on the products. I will update this post more as I start to finish them – from my past experience, the AC Collection formulas generally start to show maximum results after three or so weeks.

So, if you want to pick up anything from COSRX or the AC Collection in general, then definitely jump on over to StyleKorean. Otherwise, let’s get into this review!

Review: Blackout Perfect Cleansing Oil (APLB)

Style Story APLB Kbeauty Review Blackout Perfect Cleansing Oil

This product was gifted to me as an event competition prize. I was not paid for this review and affiliate links are not used in this post.

I used to be really bad with cleansing but I have been rather religious with it since I got into k-beauty (thank goodness). I usually shift between cleansing balms or cleansing oils, mostly just dependent on what I’m testing out at the time; I don’t really have a formula preference but I do want something that is super effective on waterproof make up and also quick to use in the shower.

Lately, I’ve been using the Blackout Perfect Cleansing Oil from APLB. This was one of the products that StyleStory had sent for me to review and – seriously – it’s so good! I have been using this every day since receiving it and I think this has set a new standard for cleansing oils for me. Previously, I’ve enjoyed the Banila Co Clean it Zero Balm and Neogen Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Oil but even they pale (if only just a little) in comparison.

The Blackout Perfect Cleansing Oil is available on the StyleStory website for AUD$32.95 and, of course, they do free shipping for all Australian orders over AUD$60 too. Pop onto their website to check this out (I highly recommend it) but, before you do…

Let’s get into this review!
