Review: Artemisia Treatment Essence Mist & Calming Point Masks (Missha)

Time Revolution Artemisia Collection Kbeauty Review

The Missha Time Revolution range is easily one of their cult favourites – in fact, their original First Treatment Essence has been much raved about as an affordable alternative to the SKII Facial Treatment Essence (and honestly, I don’t know what higher compliment a brand could possibly receive). Since then, they have also released their Artemisia Treatment Essence. Both of these branch away from the FTE formula to prove that Missha’s skincare stands strong, not just as a ‘high end dupe’ but as an original product.

The two products that I’ll be reviewing today are part of the Artemesia line – the Artemisia Treatment Essence (Mist Type) and the Calming Point Masks.

If you’re keen to shop these, head on over to StyleKorean where you can shop the entire Artemisia collection, including:

Review: Neogen

Neogen StyleKorean Try me Review Me Kbeauty Skincare

When it comes to Korean skincare, I definitely think that Neogen is one of the top household names. The company has a number of brands under their umbrella but Neogen Dermalogy seems to be the main one that’s attributed to them. They consider themselves a “beauty innovator with the latest dermaceutical research and innovations,” carrying a number of different lines to cater for various skin concerns.

I would say that they are best known for their Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Pads, which is a product that went absolutely viral a few years ago. I’ve also used their Real Fresh Foam Cleanser quite a few times and often recommend it to people! Overall, my experience with the brand is largely positive, with only a few products that were a pass for me.

For this brand spotlight, I’m going to be highlighting a small selection from their range: the Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser, Real Fresh Cleansing Stick, Real Ferment Micro Essence, Real Ferment Micro Serum and the A-Clear Soothing Spot Patch. Most of these products aren’t absolutely new to me (I’ve usually used something from the range before or tested it out a few years ago) so I had high expectations for everything!

Everything in this review is available at StyleKorean so check them out if you’re looking to get anything from Neogen – they carry a pretty large variety of their products. I would especially recommend the Peeling Pads and the Foam Cleanser, as they are my personal favourites.

So, let’s get into this!

Review: Quad Active Boosting Essence (By Wishtrend)

By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that affiliate links are used.

When it comes to Korean skincare, one of their most unique additions is a facial essence – in fact, this product originated from Korea. It is a hybrid of a toner and serum, formulated with a concentration of active ingredients to hydrate and rebalance, as well as boost the efficacy of other products.

There are a lot of great essences with varying speciality skin concerns on the market but the one that I’ve been trying out lately is a new addition to the By Wishtrend line. This is the Quad Active Boosting Essence, which has primarily anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

I was actually quite surprised to receive this because, as we all know, the world is in a bit of a state at the moment and – understandably – a lot of product launches and PR send outs have been postponed. I actually didn’t expect to be reviewing much in the next few months but this really came at a convenient time.

Since I’m spending so much time at home now, I barely wear make up (whereas I used to wear a full face every day) and am instead taking time to develop a morning and evening skincare routine. I used the product twice a day for approximately two weeks and definitely saw some good results!

This is currently selling for USD$23 on the Wishtrend website.

As a special promotion, I have also been given a code (STELLA15) for 15% off – valid until April 30.

And now, let’s just dive right into this review!

Review: Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence (Missha)

Missha The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist StyleKorean Review

I can’t figure out why this photo looks blurry… someone please halp.

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

When it comes to skincare products, I like to take my time with writing the review. After all, you can never knew the effects of something after only a few uses and it’s good to try things in different conditions too. The weather has been getting really cold in Sydney lately and, because of it, I am in at middle period where I am deciding the best way to change up my skincare routine. My skin has been fairly uneven, with some very dry areas and my T-zone still becoming oily by late midday, so I did change up my routine a few times while trying out this product.

This is a cult beauty item from MISSHA, Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. My aunt actually uses bottles of this almost religiously and I know a lot of beauty bloggers swear by it as a much more affordable dupe of SKII, which effects that as just as good – so I’ve been looking to trying this out for a long time. This product is used at the beginning of your skincare routine – it helps to cleanse, hydrate and prep your skin for the absorption of other products, so you can see why it is such an important step. It claims to also restore, rejuvenate and give you a glowing complexion.

As it is similar to a toner, I was actually very confused about this at first but I have since learned (I think) that the FTE is to be used after a toner, and is actually a different product. It is a unique step in the Asian skincare routine and is usually fermented with an active yeast ferment ingredient (read from here). Some people do use a FTE instead of a toner though and, for this, I recommend to trust your own judgement and how your skin feels after cleansing.

I got this product sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. You can get yours on their website for USD$36.03, a discounted price from USD$42.39, and a significantly lower price than the SKII essence that this is the dupe for. The Intensive Moist version of this, which is the one I am reviewing, is also the new, upgraded version of this product for enhanced hydration purposes.
