When people ask you the name the pretty, cutest Korean beauty brand, the first brand that comes to mind is usually Etude House. This super cute brand, well known for their princess-like packaging and undeniable appreciation for all things baby coloured and sweet, is usually targeted towards a younger audience – teenagers and those who are just dipping their feet into the world of beauty. Not to be stopped though, Etude House has somewhat of a cult following even with the young but mature crowd (such as myself), especially because their affordable price point and attentive design also comes with, for lack of a better phrase, pretty darn good quality.
This product that I am about to very happily review was sent to me by Beautynetkorea, and is a pore minimising face cream. This product claims to balance out oil and sebum in order to shrink pores and smooth out your skin. The thing to keep in mind when using these products is that pore size is very much genetic and there is no natural way to rid your skin of pores – they are just as necessary a body part as your arms and legs! However, when these pores are clogged or with the secretion of sebum, it can give the appearance of bigger pores.

It’s been a comparatively slow sort of week from me, and I found that I’m falling a little behind on my reviews! I have so many products I’ve recently been testing that I’ve wanted to discuss, but spending a lot of time at work and balancing some other projects mean that I’ve needed to take some nights to myself. No worries though because I’m back.
Today, I’ll be showing you one of the products that was sent to me by JapanSkin to review. I found them through Instagram and was really interested in the products they carried because – surprise, surprise – I’ve never actually used Japanese skincare products before. However, I’ve been told that they’re really great.
They’re very responsive and very professional at JapanSkin, which I really enjoyed. I also love that, by looking at their Instagram feed, I can tell that they are not just businessmen but actually use and understand the products that they are selling. I would definitely recommend them to friends (and you readers!)
I’m finally here to tell everyone about Skin Editor! I’ve been sitting on this review for a while because I took my time really testing out all of these products – and they have been doing me well.
Skin Editoris a fairly new brand, sitting as a home care brand under Tremix, founded by the company Morvanic. Their products (for Tremix) are usually only supplied to dermatologists and skin clinics for post procedural aid, so their focus is on the quality of the product rather than marketability.
Unlike in South Korea where it is fairly common to see dermatologists or skin specialists for up keeping and maintenance, I find that this is much less common in Australia. In fact, the only time I have ever spoken to a dermatologist was when I was younger and broke out in full body rashes from an allergic reaction. Our lifestyle seems to state that specialists, and therefore special treatments, are to be considered when the problem as arisen – that is, you want to fix something that has already happened.
For a lifestyle like that, I think Skin Editor‘s products would be perfect (and is the reason I approached them to begin with – aside from the fact that I really love their bold coloured branding). They promise effective and nourishing products that are safe for sensitive skin and daily use.

I’m back with another review, everyone! This is going to be a review on a set of three serums that I was sent by Roseroseshop – also the owner behind this indie brand. Today, we’re going to be looking at Neulii, their self established skincare line. RRS is an online store that specialised in Korean Skincare and Make-up so it’s not a big leap for them to move into developing their own line. From my conversation with their Marketing Manager, I am also very confident that they know what they’re doing.
I had no hesitation in trying their products, and I’m glad that I did.
Neulii’s name stems from the Korean characters of Neul + i, meaning ‘Always’ in Korean – 늘이(렇게) for those who are interested. Their goal is to merge both quality and affordability, resulting in what can be considered a ‘no frills’ version of Korean skincare.
