Dear Klairs is a brand that I had tried before in the past, and that had very good quality and simple products that worked well for my skin. When Althea Korea reached out to the Angels community about reviewing a handful of their products, I jumped onto the opportunity right away! They put forward three different ‘kits’ (these are not sold in kits but were paired together in this way for blogging and review purposes) and I chose their You Glow Glen Coco Kit – which, aside from having the coolest name, I figured would work best for me as it contains brightening and antioxidant products.
For this kit, I ended up reviewing three different items: the Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad, the Supple Preparation Facial Toner (pictured below is the smaller travel size, not full) and the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop – which is a very popular product that I had been curious about for a while!
So far, I have used these products for a good amount of time so I have some great thoughts on it. However, I will also continue to use them (especially the Vitamin Drop) to see how I go with longer term results.
And, without further ado, let’s get on with the review!

With all of these insane break outs that I’ve been getting lately (which only gets worse when I’m at that time of the month), this seemed like the perfect time to finally try out the spot treatment from Onsaemeein. This is called their Magic Solution Skin Powder and I bought it from Althea as part of my birthday order: I received some credit to use in my birthday month as part of their Althea Angels community but did end up overspending because that’s what I do.
It’s actually been a month since I had the product but I had been holding back because I wasn’t sure how to use it. I’m completely new to these skin powder treatments so there was a bit of a learning curve when I learnt how to use this. I think that it’s a handy thing to have around and, as I use it more, I’m learning the best way to apply. However, this is definitely not a replacement for regular skin care and is better as an ’emergency’ product for random break outs. This will not be suitable for people with problematic skin, if that makes sense.
Let me try to break down the pros and cons of this product. I don’t have photos of the application, as it is a little too messy (and I am embarrassed of my face), but I hope you find this useful either way.

Hands up if you want to take good care of your skin but never have the time for daily masks – night time or day?
I feel like if I put that up as a poll, most people that I know would absolutely agree. Especially for those who live busy city lives, it can be really difficult to find that me time so Althea Korea created this product especially for us. This is the Real Fresh Skin Detoxer and it is a totally new release from the brand. They collaborated with Get it Beauty TV – a Korean beauty show that, inside from introducing new beauty trends, also features educational information with beauty professionals (dermatologists, skin care specialists, pharmacists and etc); and the resulting product is one that is truly unique!
This product is a 10 second, 2-in-1 (both a cleanser and a mask) to provide your skin with the extra care that it needs without holding you back from your busy schedule. I tried this out for the past two weeks or so and I’ve found really great results from using this! Of course, the product also has its flaws which I will be discussing too.
And, onto this review/new releases feature! It’s a bit of both.
If you follow me on Instagram (and you totally should), you may be aware that I was recently accepted into Althea Angels – a beauty blogging community that was recently started by Althea. I have purchased from them before (see my previous haul here) and I’m really, really happy with their service so I was more than happy to be recommending them to my readers. Being part of this group is really exciting because the company is now actively giving special offers and opportunities for us writers and reviewers. Without any pressure at all to speak positively about their products, they are simply supporting the industry and I think that that’s a really great thing!
So, as part of this, I recieved a package maybe a week or two ago as part of my ‘acceptance’ – this is the Althea Angels welcome gift! I will be posting this at the same time as my Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Review, so this is just a brief one to show off everything that I recieved.
Before I get into this post, I also want to wish Althea a special Happy Birthday! They have just celebrated their third birthday and I really want to congratulate them for not only establishing an amazing online store and service, but also being able to have such a great global reach. Yay!
With all of the make up that I tend to buy while I’m on holidays, as well as the blogger gifts that I get (which I am so ridiculously happy and thankful for, seriously), I actually don’t buy make up as much as people think that I do. In fact, I think this was my first purchase since coming home from Japan – which I think is pretty impressive with my shopping addict history. This time, I decided to try out a new online store that I had seen my other blogger friends posting about on Instagram – Althea. I’d heard such great things about them and I loved the professionalism of their website, so I went for it.
For this order, I needed to buy a refill for my HG cushion, the Laneige whitening cushion, which isn’t exactly a cheap cushion to be using. I was having trouble finding places online that sold only the refill, so I settled for buying another set but I was searching online for where I could get the best deal – especially since I also didn’t want to pay exorbitantly for shipping. I did see it online at other stores but, at the time, they were out of my colour and I could only find it on an ebay store (which I had never heard of and couldn’t find proper reviews for) and on another online store that I have decided not to purchase from again in the near future because of their poor customer service and ridiculously slow shipping (where products aren’t going out of the warehouse because of understocking). Both of these places, I was very uncertain about buying from so I was so happy when I came over Althea!
What won it for me was that, aside from selling the Laneige cushion for a very fair price, they also had in stock the limited edition Banila Co x Taeyeon colour kit that I’ve been desperately trying to get on my hands on. It was a quick decision and here I am.
Read for my haul post and remember that this is not a sponsored post. This is my own shopping experience that I enjoyed so much, I had to share.
