Review: Blur Filter Powder (3CE)

StyleKorean 3CE Studio Blur Filter Powder KBeauty Review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I have a new favourite setting powder, and I think that I’m going to be using this for a long time! Since I have combination skin that starts off dry and gets quite oily during the day, I don’t go a single day without setting my make up. Usually, I would be relying on sprays for this but – on occasion – I have tried powders too. There are a few that I like but, generally, I feel like powders sit on top of my skin and can make my foundation look cakey. However, I was really excited with this product because it is absolutely perfect for fixing foundation in place, it gives your skin a super soft finish and it is finely milled enough that it blends right into your skin.

This is the Blur Filter Powder from 3CE that I’ve been looking at since their launched this 3CE Studio collection but I’ve been a little hesitant because it is a loose powder. Although I find that they’re effective, I’m not a fan of the mess and the difficulty with carrying it around. Generally, I use pressed powders instead. However, because the packaging for this was so cute and also because I was interested in the duo colours, I still wanted to try this.

This was sent to me for review purposes by StyleKorean and it is currently selling on their website for USD$19.53 – definitely check out their website if you’re keen to try this out or looking for a new setting powder! And with that, let’s get on with the review.

Review: Dear My Lips (Etude House)

Etude House My Universe Holiday Collection Kbeauty Review

I bought this product with my own money from the official store. However, this post also contains affiliate links as an alternative shopping recommendation. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Like a lot of Etude House products, I had been eying the Dear My Lips lipsticks for a while but I hadn’t really tried them out yet. The idea of being able to pick your own lipstick case and shade seemed really fun, especially for someone like myself who is so pedantic about packaging design. I really liked some of the original cases, which were really graphic and had an almost pop art aesthetic.

For their Holiday Collection (which was released in December and I’m still here reviewing in January because why not?) they released a few galaxy themed cases and also some limited edition shades. When I was in store, I ended up picking two of their cases and one of the limited edition colours and one from the permanent collection (since I felt like some of the holiday shades were similar to what I already owned). One of these has a metallic finish and the other is matte.

So, for today’s review, I’m just going to give you a quick look and what I got and give you my thoughts on the product. This is really only applicable for these two shades, since I feel like Etude House formulas often change according to the colour. I’m super keen to try out more of these in the future and I’ll keep posting more as I do too.

Review: Carbonic Sebum Kill Mist (So Natural)

StyleKorean So Natural Pore Tensing Carbonic Sebum Kill Mist KBeauty Review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I am one of those people who absolutely lives by mist products. Whether it is for hydrating or if they’re setting sprays, I have a bunch of them sitting on my vanity, more back ups on my shelf… and I’m also always carrying one or two smaller ones in my bag. It’s safe to say that I love these products and, when I saw this on the StyleKorean website I was super excited. This is the Carbonic Sebum Kill Mist from So Natural – one of the newer brands that they started selling at the end of 2017.

According to the website, So Natural is a brand that is centred around a naturalistic philosophy where products are formulated to strength skin’c natural properties – it is ‘informed by nature and formulated with science’. Personally, I think that this is a really great approach to take when it comes to skincare so I’m keen to try a few different things from them.

This product is a sebum controlling fact mist that claims to also tighten up pores. I tried it out alone, underneath my make up and on top of it – I definitely took my time with experimenting this the uses of this product. This product is available on the StyleKorean website for USD$15.79 and they also have a wide range from So Natural to check out.

And, without further ado, let’s get right into it!

Review: Apple Mint Fresh Bubble Foam (Beyond)

Beyond Apple Mint Fresh Bubble Foam BB Cosmetic Kbeauty Review

It’s been a while! With the new year just past us, and with me taking a small break from everything just to rest (and shop), I’ll be kicking off this year’s reviews with a product that I was sent from BB Cosmetic. I received this last year but started using it at the end of December when my previous foam cleanser had run out.

This is the first product that I’ve tried from the brand Beyond – they are a cruelty free brand from Korea and I first heard about them from my friend back in 2017 (when we went to Seoul). It’s a very light, bubbling foam cleanser which is suitable as a second cleanser. I also tested it out by itself (without an oil cleanser beforehand) and it actually does a pretty good job of cleaning off my make up so if you’re not a fan of two step cleansing, then you may be interested in this too!

The Apple Mint Fresh Bubble Foam was on sale at BB Cosmetic for USD$8.50 but, unfortunately, it’s currently out of stock. However, I’ll still link the page in case it comes back in later on and you can also check out the Everstar Smooth Foam Cleanser that Beyond makes!

Their online store also has free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ

This is going to be a fairly short and simple review, so let’s get right into it!

Review: Bubble Bubble Lip Mask (Rire)

Rire Bubble Bubble Lip Mask BB Cosmetic Kbeauty Review

I use matte lip sticks and lip stains a lot, so it makes sense that my lips are pretty dry a lot of the time. To counteract that, I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask almost every night (which I previously reviewed for BB Cosmetic) but I have also been after a quick, daily treatment that I could use in the mornings if I forget my lip mask the night before. And into the picture comes Rire! If you’ve been reading then you’ll know that I have a bit of a hit or miss relationship with their brand – some of their products have been interesting but, overall, most of them haven’t really impressed me. In general, they seem to have very innovative and different product concepts, but often fall a bit flat when it comes to the effectiveness of their formulas.

For that reason, I admit that I went into this review fairly hesitant. However, after trying out this Bubble Bubble Lip Mask, I think that have finally found a Rire product that I actually – kind of – like!

This was sent to me for review by BB Cosmetic and it sells on their website for USD$8.50 which is a decent price – it isn’t the cheapest lip scrub, but this is a pretty unique product so I think that it’s worth it. So you can check it out on their website; they also have free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ

Well, let’s jump into it!
