Please note that these products have been sent to me for review and the links are affiliate links. However, the review is purely my own honest opinions and are a reflection of the products, not the service.
Before this review, I had never heard of Skin18 before. I found them on Instagram though and noticed that they have a blogger program which focuses less on promoting their store and more about introducing and testing out new beauty products from lesser known brands. I thought this was a great opportunity so I was quickly on board. Soon enough, I had been sent the above pictures package of four different masks to review for you guys!
I took my time testing enough one, making sure to use them on days when my skin wasn’t doing so great (I wanted to see what differences the masks could make and, frankly, considering the weather, it isn’t so hard to catch me on a bad skin day) and making sure that I weren’t using them back to back. Some of these products I loved, some I wasn’t so sure about so – enough of me talking – let’s go!
Choonee is a brand that I hadn’t heard of before but, looking at their Instagram, it seems like their lip tint balms are pretty popular. I’ve been on a search for the past few weeks to find a lip balm that had the colour intensity and consistency of a lipstick. Although I am still searching, I can safely say that this water tint balm is the closest I have gotten to it (as of yet).
BB Cosmetic had sent all three colours over to me for review and I would like to thank them for introducing me to a new brand. You can check them out by clicking the link below and don’t forget to use my code to get 8% off: QAL3F6ZA8YZ
Here’s another review for a product that BB Cosmetic sent me! This time, I’ll be looking at VDL’s Expert Blending Shade which is, essentially, a liquid shader. I’ve been a little obsessed with trying different contour and highlight products lately, so I was quite exactly when they sent me this. I have used MISSHA’s shading product in the past but didn’t like that the tube was so small. I’ll likely be looking for a large tube of that when I am in Korea next.
As for this one, it is the first product that I’m using from VDL so I have quite high expectations for it. The box is quite simple and plain, so it’s nothing amazing, but I liked the glass bottle. It’s very sturdy with a thick base and gives a luxurious feel.
The bottle actually comes with a metal pump but the reason that there is no photo of that is that I was stupidly thinking it was a twist open bottle and have been using it like that until one day when I accidentally pulled instead of twist. So – note to everyone – it’s a pump. The pump is easy to control and won’t make you disperse too much product.
I have actually used the Too Cool For School Artclass by Rodin highlighter before but, since I was sent another by BB Cosmetic to review, I figured why not? Since there have been so many highlighting trends lately, I’ve been investing quite a bit of time into looking at contour/highlighting products, the different formulas and types, as well as how they work together.

This highlighter comes after the Artclass by Rodin shader which, from what I’ve read, is really popular, so I had quite high expectations for this. The packaging was absolutely beautiful with detailed design and typography, so I spent most of my time fawning over the box.
I have been on a hunt lately for a dense, pigmented lip balm. As I mentioned in my haul video (and as I seem to mention all the time lately), my skin has been extremely dry from the weather and my lips are no different. Chapped lips don’t look very nice and are hard to apply lip colour on but, worst of all, they seriously hurt! Cracking lips and dry skin are the bane of my existence in this strange Australian weather.
When I first saw the Sugar Tint Balm on RoseRoseShop, I knew that I had to try them. The real difficulty though, was choosing which ones. This product comes in a range of eight colours, four of which are available on the website (at the time of writing) so I ended up going with two – a darker, berry pink (#07 Grape Jam) and a light peach shade (#05 Pink Macaroon).
