Review: Madagascar Centella Range (Skin1004)

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Toning Toner and Ampoule BB Cosmetic Kbeauty Review

There are a few ingredients that I consider ‘magic’ for my skin, and Centella Asiatica is one I rave about all the time. It’s often used in products that target acne as it has both healing and soothing properties, whilst also being gentle enough for sensitive skin. I’ve used a couple of different products that heavily feature Centella but the recent ones that I’ve been trying out have been from Skin1004 – the Madagascar Centella Toning Toner and Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule.

Both of these are available from BB Cosmetic individually or in a duo pack. I was lucky enough to try out both but I honestly think that incorporating just one of these into your routine will give you great benefits. I started out using the Toning Toner and then added in the Ampoule for comparison.

The Ampoule is available in two sizes: the 100ml for USD$16.48 (discounted from USD$25) or a smaller 55mL for USD$12. The Toner is also available in two sizes: the 400mL for USD$26.50 or 210mL for USD$15.60.

Alternatively, the Centella Asiatica line is also available in sets, which is what I have here – the Ampoule (100mL) and Toner (210mL) duo. This set specifically sells for USD$27.99 but you can also browse the BB Cosmetic website for others to suit your needs.

Review: Dotom Lip Plus Plumper (Keybo)

Keybo Dotom Lip Plus BB Cosmetic Kbeauty Review Lip Plumper

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that there is an affiliate code advertised.

Lip plumpers can be a very dividing product – people either love them or can’t stand them at all. Personally, I like the look of fuller lips but don’t like when they’re overdramatic, so these will generally give me the subtle effect that I’m after. I’ve tried quite a few of them already and they can really vary in level of intensity and effectiveness.

The one that I’m reviewing today is from Keybo, a kbeauty brand that’s completely new to me! The packaging for this actually caught my eye first but I wanted to try this out because I’ve been enjoying glosses on my ‘lazy’ make up days, and felt like this would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone (i.e. be both lazy and have nice lips). In the end, I think that this is a pretty good lip plumper, though it isn’t one that I reach for all the time – for reasons that I will discuss below!

The Dotom Lip Plus Plumper is available on BB Cosmetic for USD$11.40 and is also available in five shades. You can also use my code for 5% off (QAL3F6ZA8YZ)!

For now though, let’s get into this review.

Review: Glitter Jelly Mask Pack (Elleybear)

Dazzling Face Party Elleybear Purple Space Glitter Jelly Mask Review BBCosmetic

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that there is an affiliate code advertised.

Sheet masks are a kbeauty staple but, if you’re looking for something just a little bit fancier, then hydrogel masks are the way to go! This type of material tends to adhere better and, while they usually contain less essence, the hydrogel actually holds hydration in for longer so I find that the effectiveness of these masks are far superior. I’ve used a lot of these in the past and definitely turn to them for my ‘special’ days.

Recently, I got my hands on the Glitter Jelly Mask Pack from Elleybear – these come in three colour variants targeting either anti-wrinkle, whitening or soothing. In retrospect, I probably should have went for either whitening or soothing (the pink or green variant respectively) but the truth is that I’m a sucker for anything purple and so I’m now using anti-wrinkle masks haha! Well, it’s never too early?

The Glitter Jelly Mask Pack, which comes in a pack of five, is available on BB Cosmetic for USD$29.95. I have to say though, these are pretty expensive for hydrogel and, in my opinion, there are better masks out there with a better price point. If you do want to grab it though, or any other masks from BB Cosmetic, you can always get an easy 5% off with my code (QAL3F6ZA8YZ).

Now, let’s get into this review because I have some thoughts!

Review: Blemish Spot Clearing Serum (COSRX)

COSRX AC Collection Blemish Spot Clearing Serum Kbeauty BB Cosmetic Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that there is an affiliate code advertised.

If you have been following my hormonal acne adventures, then you’ll know that I’ve tried a lot of different formulations. Some have done nothing for me at all, and most only gave me mild relief from my breakouts. However, there has been one brand that has given me some of the best results.

This is COSRX, arguably one of the most popular indie kbeauty brands of the past few years. I used their Calming Liquid Mild and, with extended use, it actually completely stopped my monthly break outs. I’m definitely going to be repurchasing that but, for the sake of wanting to try something new, I got a different product from their AC Collection first.

I’ve been testing out the Blemish Spot Clearing Serum, which is a multifunction serum for acne care and skin recovery. Going into this review, I had very high hopes for this line and saw good short term results (which I will be discussing). From experience though, their products work best when they’re used for an extended time period so I will likely update my thoughts on this more once I finish the bottle.

This Blemish Spot Clearing Serum is available on BB Cosmetic for USD$18.99 – and you can also use my code for 5% off (QAL3F6ZA8YZ).

Review: Light Fit Real Water Toner to Cream (COSRX)

COSRX Light Fit Real Water Toner to Cream Kbeauty BB Cosmetic Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that there is an affiliate code advertised.

There are a couple of brands that I always trust and COSRX is easily one of them – they’re one of the best indie brands in kbeauty and are dominating the industry, especially for their anti-acne formulations. I recently got a bunch of their products to try out and, funnily enough, this first one isn’t target problem skin at all!

This is the Light Fit Real Water Toner to Cream, which is something that I saw on Instagram before and was super curious about. The reason I found this so intriguing is because it claims to be both a toner and cream, so it can be used for either or both purposes. I love lightweight and easy to use products, especially for my morning routine (which isn’t so much as a routine but rather two rushed steps before I do make up).

The Toner to Cream is currently available for USD$16.45 from BB Cosmetic, or you can check out the rest of their COSRX offerings too. In general, this is a brand that I stand by and they’ve given me great results without fail, so I always recommend their stuff. You can also use my code on BB Cosmetic for 5% off – QAL3F6ZA8YZ – it isn’t much but it’s something.
