When it comes to Korean skincare, one of their most unique additions is a facial essence – in fact, this product originated from Korea. It is a hybrid of a toner and serum, formulated with a concentration of active ingredients to hydrate and rebalance, as well as boost the efficacy of other products.

There are a lot of great essences with varying speciality skin concerns on the market but the one that I’ve been trying out lately is a new addition to the By Wishtrend line. This is the Quad Active Boosting Essence, which has primarily anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

I was actually quite surprised to receive this because, as we all know, the world is in a bit of a state at the moment and – understandably – a lot of product launches and PR send outs have been postponed. I actually didn’t expect to be reviewing much in the next few months but this really came at a convenient time.

Since I’m spending so much time at home now, I barely wear make up (whereas I used to wear a full face every day) and am instead taking time to develop a morning and evening skincare routine. I used the product twice a day for approximately two weeks and definitely saw some good results!

This is currently selling for USD$23 on the Wishtrend website.

As a special promotion, I have also been given a code (STELLA15) for 15% off – valid until April 30.

And now, let’s just dive right into this review!

Review: Clear Skin Shield Patch & Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule (By Wishtrend)

There are a few brands out there that are consistently bringing out great quality (and affordable) products and By Wishtrend is definitely one of them! Everything that I’ve tried from them has been really good and I love that a lot of their formulations are also designed to be suitable for many skin types – although they aren’t a ‘for sensitive skin’ brand, they often work towards having more gentle products with minimal irritants.

That all being said, it had been a while since I used anything from By Wishtrend but I was really happy to get into these two products that they sent over to me! Since I have been having some skin troubles lately and exploring different products to ‘perfect’ it (especially since my skin has been changing so much lately), I was extra keen to get into it.

Here is the Clear Skin Shield Patch (which I got into as soon as I got this package), a set of hydrocolloid patches which essentially help to drain out pimples! I love these products but have only used one brand (Nexcare) in the past so I’m happy to be branching out. I also got their Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule, which will be the first propolis product that I’ve tried out.

So, since I’ll be talking about two products in this post, expect that this will be a bit long. Let’s get into it!

Review: TECA 1% Barrier Cream (By Wishtrend)

Wishtrend TECA 1% Barrier Cream Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

As someone who didn’t suffer from too much acne back in my teenage years and, to this day, generally only gets a few pimples now and then, I really didn’t think that break outs would be an issue for me – not so suddenly! However, since returning from my trip to Vietnam, I had an area of really badly damaged skin (pimples, scarring). My skin hadn’t agreed with the weather there and, while cleansing my skin with the Wishtrend Green Tea Enzyme Powder Wash did help, I wasn’t using it frequently enough to completely prevent break outs.

What great timing it is that Wishtrend came out with another product for me to try and – I swear – they are tracking my lifestyle! This time, they have released the TECA 1% Barrier Cream which is targeted to post-acne recover and weakened skin (i.e. me).

This product will be launching on their website on December 12th but, while I usually aim to have these reviews tested and ready by the launch date to tell everyone about it, I decided to take my time giving this a real test.

Let’s go onto the review!

Review: Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash (By Wishtrend)

By Wishtrend Green Tea and Enzyme Powder Wash Wishtrend Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

It’s my first post coming back from my trip to Vietnam and Seoul and, to be honest, I’m writing this at around 3am and I’m still getting over my fatigue and jetlag (which has been knocking out to sleep as soon as I get home from work). However, since Wishtrend just officially launched this product today (congratulations!) I knew that I wanted to have this post done on time, especially since I really love this product.

So I posted about this on Instagram before I went on my trip because I was contemplated whether or not to bring a new product abroad (because I was worried about allergies) but I did bring it and boy, I’m so glad that I did because this product is super travel friendly, very hydrating (which is important when you’re dealing with weather variations and long flights) and is pretty effective too.

This is a Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash that is from By Wishtrend, a brand started by the online kbeauty store – Wishtrend. My general experience with their products has been really good! I find that their formulas are effective, well priced and gentle on skin too. In fact, their Mandelic Acid Water is still one of my go-to, favourite skincare products at the moment!

This product has an amazing green tea latte scent (which is the best I have ever encountered) and gently exfoliates your skin which cleansing. It has a hydrating finish and leaves your skin really soft and clean, as well as controlling blackheads.

This is a 70g bottle and retails at the full price of USD$22. However, as a special launch promotion, you can now buy it at a 20% off (USD$17.60) or save up at 30% on the special sets. This promotion ends soon, so if you’re interested, get on it!

Review: Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water (By Wishtrend)

Wishtrend Review Kbeauty skincare Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

This product was sent to me by Wishtrend for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Most of us are familiar with Wishtrend as an online store – they sell a careful curation of Korean skincare and make up products; though their focus is mainly on the former. Aside from the brands that they stock (such as Benton, COSRX and Klairs), I found out that they actually have a few of their own exclusive brands. One that I was given the opportunity to test out is their Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water – which is currently offered on their website for USD$22 and free shipping.

To be honest, I didn’t expect to like the product as much as I did, but I do and so I’m really excited to be introducing it here. Essentially, this product is described as a “hydrating and nonirritating exfoliant that can be used daily.” I have been using it at night in replacement of my toner and have tried it on its own as well as as part of my full routine.

Read on for my full review and, remember that you can get this exclusively on Wishtrend.
