Review: Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream (AXIS-Y)

AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream Kbeauty Review

This is a sponsored (paid) post. Please note that referral links or codes may be used.

For those with combination skin or just skin that changes all year round, the AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream has got you covered! This was designed to allow you to customise your skincare routine day-by-day. I’ve been using it for the past three or four weeks and my skin has had it rough – my sleep cycle is pretty much non-existent, the weather in Australia is unpredictable and I’m definitely drinking too much boba! It’s been a real saviour and I love that it can cover me from day to night.

The Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream is currently available at AXIS-Y for just USD$27. Before you jump over though, let’s get into this review!

Review: Spot the Difference Blemish Treatment (AXIS-Y)

This is a sponsored (paid) post. Please note that referral links or codes may be used.

As someone who gets breakouts every few weeks and also has combination skin, I’m always on the look out for an acne treatment that can be used specifically in problem areas without affecting my entire face. And yes, AXIS-Y has answered my (or our) calls! The formulation of the Spot the Difference Blemish Treatment was inspired by their community. After coming across numerous stories from people struggling with self-confidence due to acne, AXIS-Y specially formulated this to spot target breakouts and blemishes.

I’ve been using this for the past three weeks in addition to a more moisturising skincare routine due to the seasonal changes. So far, I’ve been seeing great results so I’m really excited to be sharing this. The Spot the Difference Blemish Treatment is now available on the website for just USD$16 – which is a great price, in my opinion!

Visit their website or Instagram to check out their entire range. Before you do though, read on for my review!

Feature: Exploring K-Beauty Sunscreen Recommendations

Kbeauty SPF Sunscreens from StyleKorean

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that affiliate links are used.

A lot of people who are outside of the k-beauty community might not have heard about this, but there was a huge sunscreen scandal last year (late November 2020, to be exact). It started with the Purito Centella Green sunscreen (which has a lower SPF than was marketed due to improper practices by the manufacturer) and, as a result of that, pretty much every k-beauty brand began to review and re-test their formulations. This situation resulted in a lot of uncertainty and skepticism – how do we know which products can be trusted, and how do they know that they have been formally tested? – but I’m here to help!

(Well, StyleKorean is… but I digress)

I was approached by StyleKorean to discuss their range of sunscreens. In order to help customers be more confident in the brands and products that they are carrying, they have worked to carefully curate (and even personally test) their sunscreens range. Aside from the advertised SPF ratings, they have also gathered the formal testing documentations for all of these products – which I will be referring to in this post too.

There’s a massive range on their site, but these are the k-beauty sunscreens that I’ll be discussing in this article:

And now, let’s dive right into the details!

NOTE: The listing of these statistics are according to the reports I have been given access to and, to some extent, are also dependent on my own understanding of the terminology. I do not claim to be a scientist or a skincare professional; just another customer fascinated by what I am presented with.

If you are unsure on how to read some of the listed results, please see the guide at the end of the article.

Feature: Three Steps for Calm and Moisturised Skin (SKIN1004’s Hyalu-Cica Collection)

SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Collection - K-beauty Feature

This is a sponsored (paid) post. Please note that referral links or codes may be used.

If you’re a fan of Centella Asiatica, or just want something to calm and keep your skin moisturised at the same time, SKIN1004 has got you sorted.

For those who have not heard about them before, SKIN1004 is a k-beauty brand specialising in the use of Centella Asiatica (or Cica) – they are all about high quality ingredients, harvested for optimum purity and ethics (all according to Good Agricultural and Collection Practices [GACP]).

Although they have a wide range, today’s focus is on their Hyalu-Cica Collection – a formulation that uses their signature Hyalu-Cica ingredient to simultaneously moisturise and calm. There are four different products in this collection (though I’ll only be discussing three):

You can head on over to their Official Amazon Store to shop the brand. Only the Madagascar Centella Hyalu-cica Brightening Toner is in stock at the moment, but I’ll update this post once the others are back too! You can also get a sneaky 15% off the Brightening Toner using my code 15STELLAR (not affiliated, and expires 8/31)

Before you do that though, read on for more detailed information for each product.

Review: Radian-C Vitamin Spot Ampoule (Laneige)

Laneige Radian-C Vitamin Spot Ampoule Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that affiliate links are used.

Skin brightening has been one of my main concerns for a long time and, with my genetic inclination towards getting dark spots, I don’t think this will change any time soon. As I had recently finished my Ole Henrikson C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème, I also figured it was the perfect time to introduce something new!

This is the Radian-C Vitamin Spot Ampoule from Laneige, a follow up product to their Radian-C Cream (which I have also tried). I hadn’t hadn’t heard about this before, since it hasn’t been officially launched in Australia yet, but found that it’s available on StyleKorean for USD$24 (on sale from USD$39 – so it’s a great deal).

Review: Calming Cicatree Pad & Green Tea Moist PHA Gauze Peeling Pad (Neogen)

Neogen Calming Cicatree Pad Green Tea Moist PHA Gauze Peeling Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that affiliate links are used.

If you’ve been a fan of Neogen for a while, then you have certainly come across their pad products before – particular their exfoliating peeling pads. I first came across them on YouTube and ended up falling in love with the original wine formula… but you know what got me excited about all over again? The reformulation!

This actually happened back in 2020 and, in addition to a much improved packaging design, all of their pads have been improved and are now certified Clean Beauty – meaning no animal testing, artificial fragrances, colouring, or alcohol! This change happened for the entire line but, for the sake of this review, I’ll be discussing the Calming Cicatree Pad and Green Tea Moist PHA Gauze Peeling Pad today.

These are both available at StyleKorean, so pop on over there if you want to pick them up! Before all of that though, lets get into this review!

Feature: Affordable K-Beauty Skincare Dupes to Brighten Your Routine

KBeauty Skincare Dupes

Please note that affiliate links are used.

Let’s be real – we all love a great dupe: they make beauty so much more accessible, whether it is because of cost or simply giving us more shopping options. When it comes to k-beauty, road shop and indie brands are constantly innovating and it’s not surprising that many of their formulas are on par (and sometimes arguably better) than their high end counterparts. Here’s a list of some great k-beauty dupes for you to consider when building your own skincare routine.

It’s also important to note that there can be a very fine line between a proper ‘dupe’ and a copycat product, so all of the products discussed here are proper dupe – whether it is a similar product type or formulation. Copycats are fully excluded!

Review: Artemisia Treatment Essence Mist & Calming Point Masks (Missha)

Time Revolution Artemisia Collection Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

The Missha Time Revolution range is easily one of their cult favourites – in fact, their original First Treatment Essence has been much raved about as an affordable alternative to the SKII Facial Treatment Essence (and honestly, I don’t know what higher compliment a brand could possibly receive). Since then, they have also released their Artemisia Treatment Essence. Both of these branch away from the FTE formula to prove that Missha’s skincare stands strong, not just as a ‘high end dupe’ but as an original product.

The two products that I’ll be reviewing today are part of the Artemesia line – the Artemisia Treatment Essence (Mist Type) and the Calming Point Masks.

If you’re keen to shop these, head on over to StyleKorean where you can shop the entire Artemisia collection, including:

Review: Toun28

Toun28 Kbeauty Skincare Review Brand Spotlight - StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

For those who are passionate about sustainability (and vegan, cruelty-free skincare), then this kbeauty brand will be right up your alley! Toun28 is a relatively new brand, having launched back in 2016, and take a fully sustainable approach to their packaging. They even teamed up with StyleKorean for the Ugly Soap Project (a Green Week special) where they have made their ‘soap scraps’, or less than perfectly shaped ‘seconds’, available for just under a dollar – cutting down waste and saving you money.

Toun28 is now available at StyleKorean, and their prices are pretty good too. Today I’ll be reviewing their pH Balancing Toner, Lip Balm L2 (Unscented), Trouble Care for Sensitive Skin and Trouble Care for Dehydrated-Oily Skin. I had a bit of a mixed experience with these products, which I’ll discuss in depth, but I am still very impressed by Toun28 as a whole – and, of course, love their brand values.

Keen to try them out? Then let’s just right into this review!

Review: Cicapair Cream (Dr Jart+) vs Cica Cream (VT Cosmetics) Comparison

Kbeauty Skincare Comparison Review - Dr Jart+ Cicapair and VT Cosmetics Cica Cream

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Centella Asiatica, also known as Cica or Tiger Grass, is one of my all time favourite skincare ingredients – it’s pretty much a god send for sensitized or acne prone skin as it helps to calm and heal at the same time. I’ve used a lot of products formulated with Cica but, to be honest, I can never have enough! For this review, I will be doing something a little bit different and actually comparing two very popular Cica creams – the VT Cosmetics Cica Cream (which I have previously reviewed here but will discuss again) and the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Cream.

Both of these products are currently available on StyleKorean, with the VT Cosmetics Cica Cream at USD$14.30 (on sale from USD$28.60) and the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Cream at USD$25 (on sale from USD$42). Aside from the different price points, I also think that both of these have very different formulas that would be better for contrasting skin types – I have my personal preferences, of course, but you need to decide what’s best for you too!

So, before you make any decision on what to get – let’s get right into this review!
